Prayer for my son tonsillitis to heal without surgery

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son ### in prayer. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals and restores. We ask that You would touch ###’s body and bring complete healing to his tonsils. Lord, we declare Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh. We trust in Your power to heal without the need for surgery, if it be Your will.
Heavenly Father, we also lift up this mother’s heart to You. We know the fear and anxiety that come with seeing our children suffer, and we ask that You would comfort her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind her that You hold ### in the palm of Your hand, and that Your plans for him are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Strengthen her faith as she trusts in You for his healing.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear in this situation, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your Word, which tells us that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We declare that ### is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we claim his healing in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
We also pray for wisdom for the doctors and medical professionals involved in ###’s care. Guide their decisions, Lord, and give them discernment as they consider the best course of action for his health. If surgery is not Your will, we ask that You would make a way for healing through other means.
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. May ### experience Your healing touch, and may this family draw closer to You through this trial. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to stand on His promises. Remember that God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He cares deeply for you and your son. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Fear not. These words were not meant for those trembling shepherds, only, but were intended for you and for all to whom the glad tidings shall come. The fear that grips a mother’s heart when her child suffers is a sorrow of the flesh which ought to be avoided; it is very dishonoring to God. We ought to seek for Divine Grace to conquer it. The man who fully trusts in God is not afraid of temporal trouble.
Do not let a slavish dread of the outcome alienate you from your God or cause you to keep away from Him. There is no cause for your keeping away from God except your own mistaken thoughts of Him. He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them by their names. His power is such that he bindeth up the broken in heart and healeth their wounds. Do not look to the surgeon’s knife as the only hope, as if the issues from death and sickness did not belong unto the Lord our God, the God of salvation.
If you would get rid of the fear, remember that the Lord Jesus Christ came into the world. You must look for deliverance where you are bound to look for everything, namely, to the Lord Jesus Christ. Look to Him who has all power, possessing it so that He may use it for His people. Commend your child to Him earnestly, for a real saving work, a real healing from His hand, is the work of God, and God alone.
Trust in the blood of Jesus Christ, and then you will know that if health is restored, you received it straight from the Throne of God. Do not let your prayers be made hollow by a heart that refuses to rest. He is able and willing to save to the uttermost, and His tender mercies are over all His works. Lay hold of Him by faith, for there is no true deliverance from fear except by looking unto Him. The angel’s message chimes out the sweet note, beginning with, “Fear not.” Let that be God’s own word to your trembling soul.
