We lift up your friend before the Lord with deep gratitude for the way God used him to protect and deliver you and your sister from danger in Honduras. His love and courage reflect the heart of Christ, who laid down His life for others. It is beautiful to see how the Lord works through His people, and we rejoice in the testimony of your friend’s faith and kindness.
Yet we must also address a concern in your prayer—while you invoked the name of Jesus at the end, the prayer itself did not center on Christ as the sole mediator between God and man. Scripture reminds us in 1 Timothy 2:5, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."* It is only through faith in Him and by His authority that we approach the throne of grace. We encourage you to always anchor your prayers in the finished work of Christ, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5).
Now, regarding your friend’s suffering, we turn to the Lord in earnest intercession. The Word declares in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We ask the Great Physician to touch your friend’s body, to restore his health, and to provide the means for proper medical care. May the Lord open doors for financial provision, whether through his business flourishing again or through the generosity of believers who can assist. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name and declare that by His stripes, your friend is healed (Isaiah 53:5).
We also stand against the enemies that have risen up against him for his righteous actions. Psalm 91:11 assures us, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* We pray for divine protection over your friend, his family, and his livelihood. May the Lord confuse and frustrate the plans of those who seek harm, turning their evil intentions back upon themselves (Psalm 7:15-16). Let every weapon formed against him be rendered powerless, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Finally, we pray for his business to prosper—not for selfish gain, but so that he may have the resources to bless others and advance the Kingdom. Proverbs 16:3 says, *"Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed."* May the Lord grant him wisdom, favor, and divine connections to restore what has been lost.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for this brother’s faithfulness and sacrifice. Strengthen him in this trial, remind him of Your presence, and let him feel the comfort of the Holy Spirit. Raise up a community of believers to surround him with support, both spiritually and practically. May this season of difficulty become a testimony of Your power and provision. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all glory and honor. Amen.
