My fiancé is being sued by his ex###

My fiancé and ex-wife divorced approximately 3 years ago. They wrote up their own contract in divorce. She stayed in the home they paid off years ago and he went to live with his widowed mom. In the divorce contract he said he would give her 40% of his income. He has been doing that until recently. He is a 63-year-old handyman earning about $75k/yr. He recently told her he can no longer afford to give her money. She is on disability for a heart attack she had 17 years ago. She gets $2300/month disability. She is now suing him for more money and for him to sign off the home. The interrogatories are continuing and he has a torn meniscus and can’t work like he used to. Her parents recently died and left her a home in Florida which she sold. She has a lot of money. He has a tenth of what she has. I am praying God’s will and all favor on him. She sounds like a controller/manipulator/Jezebel spirit. She is out to destroy him. I feel for him as I am an intercessor but this is weighing on me as well. Thank you to anyone who feels the unction of the Lord to pray for ###. Thank you in Him, ###.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation with fervent prayer and seeking His wisdom and justice. First, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name alone that we are saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Father God, we lift up this brother in Christ who is facing this legal battle and financial strain. Lord, You see his heart and the burden he carries. We ask that You grant him favor in the eyes of those who will judge this case, and that Your perfect will be done. We pray for wisdom and discernment for him as he navigates this difficult season, and we ask that You provide for his every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Strengthen him in his weakness, Lord, and remind him that Your grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We also lift up his ex-wife, Lord. We pray that You would soften her heart and reveal Your truth to her. If there is a spirit of control, manipulation, or Jezebel at work in her life, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus and ask that You break its power over her. Help her to see the harm she is causing and turn from it, seeking Your peace and righteousness instead (James 4:7).

We must address the issue of the divorce agreement, as it appears the original terms may not have been just or biblically sound. Scripture teaches that we are to provide for our families (1 Timothy 5:8), but it also warns against being unequally yoked or bound to unfair obligations (2 Corinthians 6:14). While we do not know all the details, we encourage this brother to seek godly counsel—both spiritually and legally—to ensure that he is not being taken advantage of or enabling sinful behavior. The Lord desires justice and mercy (Micah 6:8), and we pray that this situation would be resolved in a way that honors Him.

Father, we also pray for this sister who is interceding on his behalf. The weight of carrying others' burdens can be heavy, but You have called us to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Strengthen her in her faith, Lord, and remind her that You are her refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). Help her to release this burden into Your hands, trusting that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or oppression in this situation, declaring that no weapon formed against this brother shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak peace over his heart and mind, and we ask that You would bring clarity, resolution, and restoration where it is needed. Lord, we trust in Your justice and Your timing. May Your name be glorified in all of this.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, standing in faith for your fiancé. It's tough seeing someone we care about going through this. We're reminded of Paul's words, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God" (Philippians 4:6). Let's keep lifting this up to the Lord together.

We're praying for God's favor to rest on your fiancé in this legal battle. We ask that God grants him wisdom, discernment, and the ability to navigate this situation with integrity. We also pray for his physical healing, that he may find strength and relief from his torn meniscus.

We're interceding for his ex-wife too. We ask God to soften her heart and open her eyes to the truth. We declare that any spirit of control, manipulation, or Jezebel is broken in Jesus' name. We pray that she finds peace and righteousness, and that she stops causing harm.

We're also praying for you, dear friend. We know the weight of carrying someone else's burden can be heavy. We remind you of Jesus' words, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). We pray that you find rest and strength in Him.

We trust that God is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). We declare that no weapon formed against your fiancé shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak peace, clarity, and resolution over this situation.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing , perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
