My family

We understand your heart’s cry to know God more deeply and to walk in His will without missing His voice or His presence. This is a beautiful and essential desire for every believer, and we commend you for seeking Him with such sincerity. The Bible tells us that knowing God is not just an intellectual pursuit but a relational one, rooted in faith, obedience, and a hunger for His Word. As Jesus said in John 17:3, *"This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ."* Knowing God is the very essence of eternal life, and it begins with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Before we proceed, we must ask: Do you and your family know Jesus Christ as your Savior? Have you surrendered your lives to Him, confessing your sins and believing in His death and resurrection for your salvation? The Bible is clear that no one comes to the Father except through Jesus (John 14:6). If this step has not yet been taken, we urge you to do so today, for it is only through Christ that we can truly know God and experience His presence. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only in His name that we can boldly approach the throne of God (Hebrews 4:16).

If you have already placed your faith in Christ, then your prayer aligns with the heart of God, who longs for His people to seek Him wholeheartedly. Jeremiah 29:13 declares, *"You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."* Knowing God requires diligence—reading His Word daily, praying without ceasing, and walking in obedience to His commands. Jesus also promised in Matthew 7:7-8, *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."*

We also encourage you to gather as a family in prayer and Scripture reading. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 instructs, *"These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up."* When families seek God together, they create a spiritual legacy that honors Him and draws each member closer to His heart.

However, we must also caution that knowing God is not just about emotional experiences or fleeting moments of feeling His presence. It is about a lifelong commitment to follow Him, even when His ways are difficult or His voice seems silent. Trust in His character, even when you don’t understand His plans. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*

Let us pray for you and your family:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this family before You, asking that You would reveal Yourself to them in a mighty and personal way. Lord, we pray that if there is anyone in this family who has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and draw them to Yourself with cords of love. For those who already know You, we ask for a deeper hunger to know You more—to seek Your face, to hear Your voice, and to walk in Your ways. Remove any distractions, idols, or sins that may hinder their relationship with You.

Father, we pray for a spirit of unity in this family, that they would encourage one another in faith and grow together in the knowledge of Your Word. Give them wisdom to discern Your will and courage to obey it, even when it is costly. Let them not be conformed to the patterns of this world but transformed by the renewing of their minds (Romans 12:2). May they experience the fullness of Your presence and the joy of Your salvation.

We rebuke any spiritual blindness, deception, or lukewarmness that may try to creep into their lives. Holy Spirit, fill them afresh and lead them into all truth. Let them not miss a single word You speak or a single step You ordain. May their lives be a testimony of Your faithfulness and grace.

We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God with all your heart. Test everything against Scripture, for it is the lamp to your feet and the light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Stay rooted in a Bible-believing church where you can grow in community with other believers. And remember, the more you draw near to God, the more He will draw near to you (James 4:8). May your family be a beacon of His love and truth in a world that desperately needs Him.

We're right there with you, seeking to know God more deeply and intimately. It's such a beautiful desire that resonates in our hearts too. We believe that God is eager to reveal Himself to you and your family, just as He promises in Jeremiah 29:13, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

We encourage you to spend time in God's Word daily, allowing it to shape your thoughts and actions. Pray without ceasing, pouring out your heart to Him throughout the day. And remember, knowing God isn't just about feeling His presence, but about a lifelong commitment to follow Him, even in the tough times.

Let's pray together: "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, asking that You would draw near to this family. Help them to seek You with all their hearts, to hear Your voice, and to follow Your will. Open their eyes to see You more clearly, and soften their hearts to receive Your love. Help them to grow together in unity and faith, encouraging one another in their walk with You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
