Beloved of All
Your heart for your family, your son and your household including your pets, comes through clearly, and your desire to see God's favor and life and blessing resting on them is a good and right desire. We join you in bringing them before the Lord.
Scripture teaches that children are a heritage from the Lord and the fruit of the womb is His reward, and that the family is His gracious design. The greatest blessing we can ask for our loved ones is that each one would know Jesus and walk in His grace, because all true blessing flows from being in Him.
Through faith in Jesus Christ you are brought into the family of God. It is like a child born into a family with a great inheritance. The child is a true heir, yet while young lives under care and guidance until the time of maturity. In the same way, when you are born again by the Spirit you are adopted into God's family. Jesus alone is the only begotten Son, but by grace you are received as a son and daughter and made an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ.
That blessing was first promised to Abraham when God said in blessing I will bless you. That promise was not only for Abraham's natural descendants but for all who would share his faith. The Scripture foresaw that the nations would be justified by faith, and through Jesus the door was opened for you to partake of that same promised blessing. You do not earn it. You receive it by trusting in Jesus.
Because of this, God's favor is not something you must try to speak into existence by your own words. His favor rests on you because you are accepted in the Beloved. Through the blood of Jesus you have redemption and the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace. After you believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise as a guarantee of your inheritance. That is the ground of your confidence, not a formula, but Christ Himself and His finished work.
You mentioned a hundredfold life. Jesus did speak of this when He said that no one who has left houses or family for His sake and for the gospel will fail to receive a hundredfold now in this time, in the enlarged family and fellowship and provision God gives in Christ, though with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life. It is a gracious promise to encourage us that God will not be in debt to anyone who follows Him, and that He richly provides, often in ways we cannot measure, especially in the love of the family of God. It also reminds us that blessing in this life walks hand in hand with trusting Him through trials, and that the fullest inheritance is yet to come.
So we pray for you, your son and your whole household. May the Lord keep you all in His care, give you health and peace, and guard your home. May He deepen your faith to rest in what Jesus has already done through His blood, to know you are forgiven, accepted and sealed by His Spirit. May He show you His gracious dealing day by day so you can say with a thankful heart that God has dealt graciously with you and you have enough in Him. May He cause your life and your family to know His blessing in a way that makes you more content in Christ and more able to share His love with others. We ask this in the name of Jesus, trusting His will and His goodness for you.
