Thank you for sharing your request and for trusting us to pray with you for your family. We have prayed that the Lord will cover you with His protection and show you His favor in this difficult time when you feel attacked on every side.
It helps to remember that the real battle is not simply against people. Scripture says we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness in this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The people and pressures you see are real, but behind them there is a spiritual conflict, and God has not left you without defense.
Physical strength and human strategies have no value in that kind of battle. God has given spiritual armor and spiritual weapons that are mighty through Him to pull down strongholds. Too often we bow our heads and go on being battered, feeling beaten down and wondering why, without recognizing that we are under spiritual attack against our homes and families. As a child of God you do not need to remain harassed. You have authority and power through Jesus Christ to stand and to see the enemy put to flight. The victory was already won at the cross, and when you come against the enemy in that victory, he must yield. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
One of the most important weapons God has given is His Word. When Jesus was tempted, He answered every attack with what is written. Having the Word in your heart is both a defense and a way to push back against the enemy's strongholds in lives and circumstances. Keep feeding on Scripture, speaking it, praying it over your family, and using it to answer fear and accusation.
There is also a balance of prayer and practical watchfulness. When Nehemiah faced those who conspired to come and fight against the work and to hinder it with mockery and threats, his first response was prayer. He prayed to God, and then he set a watch day and night because of the threat. He did not trust only in prayer while ignoring wisdom, and he did not trust only in watchfulness while neglecting prayer. Follow that pattern. Keep bringing your family before the Lord daily, and also take the wise, practical steps God shows you to guard your home, your relationships, and your peace.
Like David when he was pressed by enemies, bring it honestly to the Lord. David sought the Lord and said, Lord, let Your hand be upon me, I have sinned, these people are as sheep, have mercy. God hears that kind of humble, dependent prayer.
So we are praying for you in this way. Father, we lift this family to You in the name of Jesus. Surround them with Your protection, let no weapon formed against them prosper, and guard them from every subtle and open attack of the enemy. Show them Your favor, make Your presence known in their home, and give them wisdom to stand strong. Fill their hearts with Your Word, teach them to use the spiritual armor You have provided, and help them to resist the enemy in the authority of Christ so that he flees. Draw them close to Yourself and draw near to them, and let them see Your victory and Your peace. In Jesus name, Amen.
