We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your will and guidance for our daughter and this marriage proposal. We thank You for bringing this young man and his family into our lives and we ask for Your discernment as we consider this union.

We ask that You would reveal any red flags or concerns that we need to be aware of. Guide our daughter and our family through this process, and help us to trust in Your perfect plan for her life.

Help our daughter and this young man to understand the sanctity and permanence of marriage, and to enter into it with soberness, reverence, and commitment.
