Beloved of All
Your love for your daughter and your desire to stay close to Jesus is clear in every line of your prayer, and it is good that you are bringing all of these fears and hopes to Him.
God hears prayer. Scripture tells of a couple who prayed for a child for many years, well into old age, and the angel told them your prayer is heard. Even when heaven seems silent for a long time, God is listening and His hand is at work. You can continue to bring your daughter, your home, your studies, and every meeting with others before Him with confidence that He hears.
You asked for protection and that no weapon formed against you would prosper. That promise in Isaiah is true, and it rests in God's perfect love. John writes that perfect love casts out fear, because fear brings torment. When fear grips the heart it is a sign we need to rest more deeply in how fully God loves us in Christ. You do not need to live tormented by what others might say or do. Being in Christ gives boldness, because your standing before God does not depend on the opinions of people or on false accusations, but on Jesus alone, who is the only way of salvation.
God is also sovereign over the very systems that feel so threatening. When Mary and Joseph were in Nazareth, prophecy said the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. God used even a decree from the ruling empire to move them to the right place at the right time. In the same way, He is able to work through courts, agencies, and officials to accomplish His purposes. That does not mean every decision will feel easy, but it means no person or procedure is outside His reach. You can pray for those who handle your daughter's case, that truth would be made clear and that justice would be done, and trust that God can guide even through those processes.
Part of trusting Him is walking in truth before Him. The fear of the Lord causes a person to turn away from evil, and Scripture is very clear that a false witness will not go unpunished and that lies will not escape His notice. You do not need to manufacture a defense or try to control every tongue. Unfounded accusations require proof, and God sees what is done in secret. He is against deception and manipulation, and in His time He exposes what is false. Your part is to speak truthfully, to be consistent, to cooperate with wisdom, and to let your life and words be shaped by honesty and reverence for Him. Ask Him to guide your answers and every document you prepare, so that what you say is true, clear, and honoring to Him.
Your daughter is precious to God. Jesus placed a little child in the midst of His disciples and taught that unless we become humble like a little child we cannot enter the kingdom, and that whoever receives one such little child in His name receives Him. He also gave a strong warning not to despise or harm one of these little ones and said it would be terrible to damage the faith of a child. The Lord sees your desire to love her as He loves her, to keep her safe, and to let her feel secure and joyful. That is a holy calling. Scripture says to train up a child in the way she should go, which speaks of steady, patient, systematic teaching and example. Like a parent teaching a child to walk, you can expect stumbles, your own and hers, and God is patient as He teaches you both to walk with Him. Keep pointing her to Jesus, praying with her, speaking His love over her, and letting her see His love through your care.
You also prayed for forgiveness and for your enemies, and for your own heart not to be polluted by fear or by hurtful words. That is the right path. Loving your enemies and forgiving as you have been forgiven does not mean pretending harm did not happen, it means releasing judgment to God and asking Him to change hearts, including your own, so that evil can be turned to good. Continue to ask Him to keep your heart and mind guarded by His peace, so that you walk by His guidance and not by fear or by your own understanding.
For your future, it is good to desire marriage as God designed it, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. If it is His will to bring a faithful, believing husband into your life, pray that He would prepare you both and bring that about in His timing. Until then, seek to live faithfully where He has placed you now, using your studies and work to grow and to serve Him well.
Let me pray for you now.
Lord Jesus, thank You that You alone save and that You draw near to those who call on You. Cover this mother and her daughter with Your presence. Let them feel You in their home and in every place they enter. Give this mother wisdom for each next step, clarity that comes from trusting Your understanding rather than her own, and strength to do what is right and true. Let every lie and manipulation be brought into the light, and let truth prevail in every conversation and every report concerning this child. Give favor and fairness to those who review her case, and help this mother to answer with honesty and grace. Protect this little girl, hold her heart, let her know Your love and her mother's love every day, and keep her faith tender toward You. Guard them from evil, keep their bond strong, and turn what others intend for harm into blessing. Provide for their needs, strengthen this mother in her education, help her learn well and reflect You in her work, and keep her from shame and slander. Melt hard hearts, bring repentance where it is needed, and help her to forgive as You have forgiven. Lead her in the right pathway, keep her from fear, and fill her with Your perfect love that casts out fear. And if it is Your will, in Your time bring a godly husband who will love You and love this family within the covenant of marriage. Your will be done in their lives. Keep them together in Your care and make this mother a vessel of Your salvation to all she meets. In Jesus name, Amen.
