My daughter finished 5 days of detox today she will be getting out today I'm praying to the lord Jesus Christ that she seek his help in her recovery so that her and her ### year old daughter will have a healthy and alchol free life I pray she does what she suppose to do so she don't lose her to foster care again because it will be extremely hard for her to get her back so I'm praying everything works out in Jesus name amen

We lift up your daughter and granddaughter before the throne of grace with heavy and hopeful hearts. The battle against addiction is fierce, but the power of Jesus Christ is greater still. We stand with you in agreement, declaring that the Lord’s strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Your daughter has taken a courageous step by completing detox, and now the real work of surrender begins. We pray she does not rely on her own strength but fully surrenders her struggles to the One who can break every chain (Psalm 107:14).

Father God, we ask that You would surround her with Your presence as she leaves detox. Let her feel the weight of Your love and the conviction of Your Spirit, drawing her away from the temptation to return to alcohol. Protect her mind from the lies of the enemy, who would tell her she cannot change or that she is unworthy of healing. We declare that she is a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and that her past does not define her future. Fill her with a hunger for Your Word and a thirst for righteousness, that she may walk in the freedom You died to give her (John 8:36).

We also lift up her young daughter, Lord. You have entrusted this precious child to her mother, and we pray that this little one would see Jesus in her mother’s life, her words, her actions, and her love. Guard this child from the effects of addiction and instability, and let her grow up knowing the security of a home centered on You. We rebuke the spirit of fear that would tell your daughter she is incapable of being the mother her child needs. Instead, we speak Your truth over her: that You are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1), and that with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

Father, we ask that the legal and custodial concerns would be resolved according to Your will. You are a God of restoration, and we pray that the doors of foster care would not close permanently for this family. Give wisdom to the authorities involved, that they would see the genuine steps your daughter is taking toward change. Soften hearts and open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We declare that this family will not be separated, but rather, that they will be knit together in love and unity, reflecting Your heart for the fatherless and the broken (Psalm 68:5-6).

We also pray for you, as the grandmother and caregiver. This journey is not easy, and we ask that You would sustain you with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give you strength when you are weary, hope when you are discouraged, and faith to believe that God is working even when you cannot see it. Let your prayers be a fragrant offering before the Lord, and trust that He hears every cry of your heart (Psalm 34:17).

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of addiction that has held your daughter captive. We declare that she is no longer a slave to alcohol, but a daughter of the King, set free by the blood of Jesus (Galatians 5:1). We pray that she would find a community of believers who will walk alongside her in her recovery, a church family that will encourage her, hold her accountable, and remind her of her identity in Christ. Surround her with godly influences who will point her to You, not to the temporary fixes of this world.

Finally, we pray that this family would come to know You more deeply through this trial. Use this season of struggle to draw them closer to Your heart, that they may experience the fullness of life that only You can provide (John 10:10). May this be a testimony of Your redemption, a story of how You took what was broken and made it whole.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Leaving detox is a big step, and your love for your daughter and granddaughter comes through so strongly. It’s clear that you’re holding onto hope with everything in you, and that hope is not misplaced. These first days out are often the hardest, when old patterns can feel familiar and new routines haven’t yet settled in. We’re glad you reached out.

Right now, your daughter needs more than a strong will. She needs a place where she can be real about the struggle without shame, and where others who understand can walk alongside her. Many people find that a Christ-centered recovery group, like Celebrate Recovery or a similar program, makes all the difference in the early weeks. If she’s open to it, you might gently ask if anyone at the detox facility can connect her with a sponsor or a local group before she walks out the door. Having that connection in place today can help her not feel so alone.

You’re also carrying the weight of what’s at stake for your granddaughter. We know the foster care system is hard on children, and the thought of her being taken again is heavy. You’re right to pray for your daughter’s choices, not just for her own sake but for her little girl’s. As you hold them both before the Lord, remember that you’re not standing in the gap alone, others are praying with you.

Jesus, we lift up this daughter to you now. You know every fear and hope in this family. Give her courage to reach for your help and for the practical help she needs. Surround her with people who will speak truth and offer steady support. Protect her daughter, and give this grandmother thy peace that passes understanding. We ask for a future where both mother and child thrive in freedom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you for praying for for my family

How often the fears of a mother’s heart become the very arrows of the enemy, whispering that the case is hopeless. Yet your prayer is raised to the God who sees: He who neither slumbers nor sleeps observes every tear and hears every sigh. He it is who must bring deliverance, for it is not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit alone that the iron chain of strong drink can be snapped. Pray for your daughter that she may receive the kingdom of God as a little child, with simple reliance upon the finished work of Christ, for only the blood of the Lamb can cleanse and keep.

There is a ransom found; God has devised a way of deliverance from the pit, and He is able to restore the years the locust has eaten, both for her and for the young life entrusted to her. Yet true liberty is not license to return to the old bondage, but a glad surrender to the easy yoke of Jesus. Continue to bring your household before the throne, for the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord will lift him up. Persevere in supplication, and look for the answer, expecting that He who has begun a good work will complete it unto the day of Christ.

Cast the burden of the foster care upon the Lord; He who sets the solitary in families can preserve that little one, and in His time, if it pleases Him, restore mother and child together in a home where the fear of God drives out the love of the bottle. Only let the seeking soul trust wholly in the Deliverer, and not in a mere resolve of her own.
