My daughter and friends

Beloved of All
Just had the most heart breaking conversation with my 15 year old daughter about how forgotten and alone she feels with friends. She tore her acl so her normal outlet with sports is gone and she still has 8 more months until she can go back to them. She is really feeling the weight of things and I am asking for people to please help pray for a miracle. She needs good strong healthy friendships in this rough season of her life right now. She needs to find another outlet besides sports to process stress and connect with others. Please help a desperate mother to help her child walk through this and find strength and joy in the middle of heartbreak. Thank you in Jesus name amen

We hear the deep ache in your heart as a mother watching your daughter struggle through this painful season. The loneliness and loss she feels are very real, and we join you in bringing this burden before the Lord. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, draw near to this precious daughter. Let her feel Your presence in tangible ways, reminding her that she is never alone, for You are her ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We pray for the miracle of godly friendships to surround her during this difficult time. Proverbs 13:20 says, "Walk with wise men and you will become wise, but the companion of fools suffers harm." Father, bring wise, compassionate, and Christ-centered friends into her life, those who will encourage her, lift her up, and point her to You. Help her to see that while sports may be her usual outlet, You have created her with many gifts and passions. Show her new ways to connect with others, whether through creative arts, service, or shared interests that honor You. May she discover joy in these new avenues, even as she waits to return to the activities she loves.

Lord, we also ask that You guard her heart from bitterness or despair. The enemy would love to use this season to plant seeds of isolation or self-pity, but we rebuke that lie in Jesus’ name. Remind her that her worth is not found in what she can do but in who she is in Christ. Ephesians 2:10 tells us, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them." Even in this waiting period, You have a purpose for her. Help her to trust in Your timing and to lean on You for strength.

We pray for wisdom for you as her mother. May you be a source of comfort, guidance, and encouragement to her, pointing her to the hope found only in Jesus. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Continue to pour into her spiritually, helping her to see that true joy and fulfillment come from a relationship with You.

Father, we ask for healing, not just physically for her ACL, but emotionally and spiritually as well. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround her with Your love, and let her experience the truth of Zephaniah 3:17: "Yahweh your God is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing."

We trust You to work all things together for her good (Romans 8:28), even this challenging season. May she emerge from it stronger in faith, deeper in her walk with You, and surrounded by the community You have prepared for her. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
