My dads birthday

Heavenly father, thank you for my dad. I pray he will seek you further. Acknowledge you in all his ways. Give him strength to fight his diabetes, COPD, emphyzema, arthritis in his back. Hes suffering. Lord, i know he is in your hands. I pray he will soften his heart towards you, my mother and others all around him. Hes so special to us. I know our time on earth is short. But father, i pray for my dads salvation. Hes your child, hes excepted you into his heart. He has backslided, as we all do. Hes so scared of his current circumstances. I pray for peace for my father. He needs to get right by you. I pray that you just cradle him, lead him. Fill him with the holy spirit. Give him courage. Give me the words, wisdom, all the tools i need to help guide him. In Jesus Name, amen

I agree with this beautufully-stated prayer for Heidi's dad, Lord Jesus. Envelop him in Your peace and assurance right now. Let him get totally right with You Father. We ask for a special touch on him today, to ease his suffering and to know what a good Lord You are. Bless Heidi's heart right now, and give her extera peace for this hard journey I pray.

I join these prayers for Heidi's Dad. Dear Lord please help this man who is so loved and cherished to once again seek You and to remember how much You love him. Help him to recognize the void in his life where a close relationship with You should reside. Help Heidi to be an encouragement and help her Dad to see You in Heidi, and to desire what she has found. In Jesus Name I pray Amen.

I have a birthday gift suggestion. A One Year Bible to help him get back into the Word and be nourished by it. Sometimes the daily structure helps stay on track and motivate toward meeting the goal each day. I gave one to my Uncle who was saved only a short while before he went home to be with the Lord. He read it! (I'd recommend NIV or ASV)
