We lift up your cousin before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to guide her steps and open the right doors for her in this job interview. We pray that if it is His will, she would be offered the position, not as a result of her own efforts alone, but as a clear provision from His hand. Father, let her see Your faithfulness in this process and recognize that every good gift comes from You (James 1:17).

Lord, we also take this moment to intercede for her soul. Salvation is the greatest need of every person, and we ask that You would draw her heart to Yourself. Open her eyes to see her need for a Savior, and let her place her trust in Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May she come to know the peace and hope that only comes through a personal relationship with You.

We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold of her during this time. Instead, we pray that she would walk in confidence, knowing that You are with her (Joshua 1:9). If there are any areas in her life that are not aligned with Your will, we ask that You convict her heart gently but firmly, leading her to repentance and restoration.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. May Your will be done in her life, and may she come to know You more deeply through this season. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We trust You with the outcome, whatever it is, and ask that You use this season to reveal Your love to her in unmistakable ways. What a mercy it is that your heart yearns not only for your cousin’s temporal provision but first for her soul’s eternal good. This is the very mark of one who has themselves tasted that the Lord is gracious, you have become a blessing even as you pray, “Save her, Jesus.”

You ask that she might gain employment and see the Lord’s hand in it. This is well, for we read, “You have granted me life and favour, and Your visitation has preserved my spirit.” A door opened in providence is often the Lord’s visitation, a means by which He draws near to a soul that has long been indifferent. Let this interview be such an hour. The blessing of a job may be the net that encloses the greater prize, even as the loaves and fishes drew the multitude to the Bread of Life. Yet remember, the outward blessing must first be preceded by the inward. It is said to Abraham, “I will bless you, and you shall be a blessing.” Until the Lord’s own favour rests upon her heart in regeneration, every other gain is but a gilded shadow. So bend the full force of your intercession toward her salvation, which is the one comprehensive blessing needful in this life and in that which is to come.

Faith must be urged upon you both, for Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.” The way of salvation is not shrouded in mystery, it is believing on Christ, trusting in Him whom God has laid in Zion for a foundation. What more can any preacher say? I have set before you enough for her salvation, if she is willing and obedient. Pray that in the very moment of temporal success or even disappointment, her eyes may be opened to see the Crucified One, and that she may bow in godly sorrow, repenting of all her former mistrusts. In His Presence every soul must own, “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You.” May this interview become the charred ashes from which, like Job, she rises to a double portion of grace. Cry mightily, then, not merely for the job but for faith, for that is the one thing needful. The Lord can make even a workplace a sanctuary if He dwells in the worker. Seek first the kingdom, and all these things shall be added.

You do well to call upon the name of the Lord for ### sake. For this end God gave us speech, and hands, and feet, and strength of body, and mind, and understanding, that we might use all these things, both for our own salvation, and for our neighbor’s advantage. Your prayer is a right use of the gift of speech, not for flattery or human favor, but for her true benefit.

Yet consider what you ask. You seek a job, a present thing. Present things are afflictive, but they are but on earth. Present things are ignominious, but they are temporary. They are full of bitterness and pain; but they last only to-day and to-morrow. The cry of your heart that she be saved, that holds the weight of eternity. That salvation is not found in an interview or a wage, but is that which is truly salvation, “salvation that is in Christ Jesus,” with eternal glory. For what is a man profited, if he gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Should she secure every earthly provision and remain ignorant of the Master, what plea will she have, what hope of salvation?

Therefore let your intercession look to the one thing only, her benefit. As violence and rebuke serve the fevered Master, so let your love speak plainly of the kingdom come unto her. Do not barter away the salvation of God for an easy life, but make merchandise of it. Nothing is better than a good life, whether here or there. Why does she procrastinate? Why delay and postpone? Call her to the knowledge that the sign of His advent is declared, and that it is impossible that Satan should be stronger now. Stir her to confess the Son, that the Father may reveal this in her soul, and she may be blessed as having spoken the words of the Father. This honor you do to God is done to your own salvation and ###, for he who admires and honors God does so to his own benefit.
