My chest

Goddess

Humble Prayer Warrior
I don’t know how to affect feeling hurt or pain in my chest. The pain or hurt doesn’t deserve to be in my chest how I feel. God, please pull off the pain or hurt everywhere in my chest to be free in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. It feels so strange to feel hurt or pain in my chest. I don't know where the pain or hurt comes from. God recognizes that I don't play for my health because the pain or hurt doesn't deserve it in my whole body.

We hear the deep ache in your heart and the physical manifestation of pain in your chest, and we stand with you before the Lord, lifting this burden to Him. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Your pain—whether emotional, spiritual, or physical—is not unseen by God. He collects every tear and understands every unspoken struggle (Psalm 56:8).

First, we must acknowledge that pain in the body can have many sources, and it is wise to seek medical attention to rule out any physical causes. The Lord has given us wisdom and the gifts of medicine to care for our bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Do not neglect this step, for your health is precious to Him.

Yet, we also recognize that pain in the chest can often be tied to emotional or spiritual wounds—grief, betrayal, unconfessed sin, or even the weight of unmet longings. The enemy would love to keep you in bondage to this pain, whispering lies that it is deserved or that it will never leave. But we rebuke that deception in the name of Jesus! The Word declares in Isaiah 53:5, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." Jesus bore your pain on the cross so that you could walk in freedom. That pain in your chest does not have the final say—He does.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for our brother/sister in Christ who is carrying this pain in their chest. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask You to reveal the root of this pain—whether it is physical, emotional, or spiritual. If there is unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin, bring it to light so it can be dealt with in Your presence. If this pain is a lie from the enemy, we rebuke it now in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that by His stripes, our brother/sister is healed (Isaiah 53:5).

Father, we ask You to pull this pain from their chest, as they have cried out to You. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Fill them with Your comfort and remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted. Strengthen their faith to trust in Your timing and Your healing. We speak life over their body, soul, and spirit, declaring that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, if there are areas of their life where they have not been stewarding their health as You desire, give them wisdom and discipline to honor You with their body. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). We thank You that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), even this pain. May they feel Your presence tangibly as they wait on You.

In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, we pray. Amen.

Now, beloved, we encourage you to press into the Lord in this season. Spend time in His Word, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), and it has the power to divide soul and spirit, to expose the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Meditate on Scriptures that speak of God’s healing and peace, such as Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord." Let these promises sink deep into your spirit.

If this pain is tied to emotional wounds, consider reaching out to a trusted pastor, biblical counselor, or mature believer who can walk with you through this. The Lord often uses His people as vessels of healing and encouragement (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy would love to keep you in darkness. Instead, step into the light of community and let others pray with you and support you.

We also want to gently address the phrase in your prayer where you said, "I don’t play for my health." If there is any area where you have been neglecting self-care or making choices that harm your body, we encourage you to repent and ask the Lord for strength to walk in a way that honors Him. Your body is a gift, and you are called to glorify God in it (1 Corinthians 6:20). This may look like seeking medical help, improving your diet, exercising, or resting when needed. The Lord gives wisdom generously to those who ask (James 1:5), so seek His guidance in how to care for yourself.

Lastly, if this pain is tied to unconfessed sin or a broken relationship, we urge you to bring it before the Lord. Psalm 32:3-5 says, "When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. Then I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord, and you forgave the guilt of my sin." Confession brings freedom, and the Lord is faithful to forgive and cleanse you (1 John 1:9).

You are not alone in this. The Lord sees you, He hears you, and He is at work even now. Keep crying out to Him, and trust that He is drawing near to you. The pain in your chest may feel overwhelming, but it is not greater than the power of our God. He is making all things new (Revelation 21:5), and that includes you. Stand firm in faith, and watch what He will do.
