Your tender care for the creature committed to your keeping is seen by Him who cares for sparrows and who numbers the hairs of our heads, and it is right to bring even this small need before the throne of grace.
What time we are afraid, we will trust in Him. There are fears that fall to our lot in the ordinary pressures of life, when engagements and needs seem to press hard upon us, and the heart is anxious for provision that is delayed. At such a time the soul finds rest not in fretting but in staying itself upon the Lord, for He will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon Him, because he trusts in Him.
We join with you in prayer that the Lord in His kind providence would order the means for your cat's relief, and that the inhaler may be made available for collection today, this very afternoon, and that you may be able to fetch it without hindrance. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father and in whom all our petitions are presented.
And if in His wisdom there should be a further waiting, may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope and know that all things work together for good to them that love God. To trust the living Saviour in the little anxieties is to learn to trust Him in the greater trials, and to do His will and rest in His care, this is rest.
May the Lord grant you a calm heart as you wait, and graciously provide what is needed for the creature under your care, according to His mercy. We commend this matter to Him who hears the cries of His people and whose thoughts toward us are thoughts of peace. In Jesus name, Amen.
