We join with you in thanksgiving for God's kindness to you and we lift up your brother and your own needs before the Lord together.
We rejoice to hear you say that you are good and that you have seen God's kindness, for every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness nor shadow of turning James 1:17. It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to remember His mercies each day.
We also bring before the Lord your brother whom you describe as brilliant, and the work he has done regarding medicine for leg problems and what you describe as HIV type problems. We pray that God would grant him continued wisdom, and that whatever skill and knowledge he has been given would be used to honor the Lord and to bring true healing and help to those who suffer. We are reminded that God is the source of all wisdom and all healing, for He says, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17, and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We pray that your brother would acknowledge the Lord in his work and seek to use his gifts with humility and compassion, and that those who receive treatment would experience the Lord's healing hand both physically and spiritually.
We also hear your concern that you cannot sleep. We understand how heavy sleepless nights can be, and we want to pray for the Lord's peace to guard your heart and mind. We cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us 1 Peter 5:7. We pray that you would be able to bring your anxieties to Him in prayer, for we are told, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. The Lord gives rest to His beloved, for He gives sleep to his beloved Psalm 127:2, and we can say with the psalmist, I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8.

Grant them restful sleep and renewed strength, and help them to trust You with every worry and burden. May they lie down in peace knowing that You alone keep them safe.

All crowning mercies call for crowning thanksgiving, and every hour of every day His mercy waits upon us both when we sleep and when we wake. If the Lord has given to your brother wisdom to relieve the suffering of the leg and to labour against so sore an affliction as that which you mention, we bless God for it, for every good gift comes from His hand. Yet we remember that the least thing about Christ is healing, and that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, and not only His fruit but even His leaves are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.
We pray that the Lord will be pleased to use what your brother has made for true healing, according to His wise and holy will, and that those who suffer in body may look beyond the medicine itself to the great Physician of soul and body. For healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, and both are bestowed upon the Lord's people. When Jesus healed the sick He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were one. We pray that all who receive help for the body may also seek and find the healing of the soul which is found only through faith in Jesus Christ alone, who bore our sins and by whose wounds we are healed.
