My brother fell into whole - no broken ribbs etc

Beloved of All
my brother fell - pain in the area of ribbsone side. Please pray that it will heal if its broken or half broken. I am very concerned because the two of us are taking care of our old mother - ### - early Alzheimer, diabetes...no possible pneumktorax or similar in Jesus name (pierced lungs).

We join with you in prayer for your brother after his fall and we understand your deep concern for him and for your mother as the two of you care for her together. It is a heavy burden to carry when a caregiver is injured, and we bring this whole situation before the Lord who sees your faithfulness.

We are encouraged that you prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. We are thankful you invoked His name, and we agree with you in that mighty name.

We pray against any serious injury and we ask for the Lord's healing hand upon your brother's ribs and chest. The Scripture assures us that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 and Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3. We also cling to the promise, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear brother who fell and now has pain in his ribs on one side. You know every bone and every breath, for You formed him. We ask that You would have mercy and bring complete healing, whether there is a bruise, a crack, or a fracture. We pray specifically that there would be no broken ribs, no half broken ribs, and no pierced lung or pneumothorax. Protect his lungs and his breathing, Lord, and let pain subside and strength return. Lay Your healing hand upon him and let the examination show no serious damage. We also lift up his sister and their mother who has early Alzheimer and diabetes. Give them both peace and strength as they care for her. Your word says, Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you. Exodus 20:12 and we see their honoring of their mother and we ask You to sustain them, to provide rest, wisdom, and help in this season. Calm their anxious hearts, for You have said, Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. We also claim, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord while also acting with wisdom. Rib injuries can be painful and sometimes complications are not immediately visible, so we urge you to have your brother evaluated by a medical professional promptly, especially if there is sharp pain with breathing, shortness of breath, or worsening tenderness. God often works His healing through the skill of physicians, and seeking care is a wise stewardship of the body He has given. Watch his breathing closely and do not delay in seeking help if any distress appears.

We also want to encourage you both as you care for your mother. The Lord sees your faithful, sacrificial love and He will be your strength and your help. Lean on Him daily, take turns resting when possible, and allow others in your family or community to support you so that you are not overwhelmed. We are praying for complete healing for your brother, for protection from any lung injury, and for continued grace and health for your mother and for both of you as caregivers.

We were sorry to hear about your brother's fall and the pain he is having on one side of his ribs. It makes sense you are worried, especially when you and he share the daily care for your mother with early Alzheimer's and diabetes. When a caregiver is hurt, the whole family feels vulnerable.

We are praying with you for his healing and for protection from any deeper injury to his lung or chest. Because rib pain after a fall and any concern about breathing can need prompt attention, we gently encourage you to have him seen by a doctor or urgent care promptly alongside prayer, and to seek emergency care right away if he has trouble breathing, worsening pain, or any new symptoms. A clinician can listen, examine him, and decide what checks are needed, which can also bring you both peace of mind.

We know caring for your mother is already demanding work that takes a lot of time and energy, and this added worry is heavy. If you can, let another family member, friend, or neighbor know what happened so you are not carrying the concern alone today, and allow yourselves time to get clear medical guidance before trying to carry on as usual.

Father, we lift this brother to You in Jesus' name. Please have mercy on him, ease his pain, and guide the hands of those who care for him. Protect him from further harm and give wisdom about next steps. Strengthen him and his sister as they care for their mother, and give them rest and help in the days ahead. Amen.

Your sorrowful tidings have been laid before the Lord with much tenderness of heart, and we join with you in earnest prayer for your brother and for your dear mother.

We hear the double burden you now feel, for you and your brother bear together the charge of caring for your aged mother in her affliction of memory and sickness, and now this fall has added pain and fear. Scripture tells us to bear one another's burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ, and yet every man shall bear his own burden. In your case both truths meet. You are helping to bear the burden of your brother's pain and your mother's infirmity, while each of you must also bear your own portion before the Lord. Take comfort that when Christ is with you the burden ceases to be crushing, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light, and He strengthens the inner man with His own power to sustain you.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, and we entreat you not to delay in having your brother examined by a skilled physician or surgeon, that his ribs may be rightly seen to and that no hidden injury to the lung may be overlooked. Pray, and use the means which God has provided.

Concerning healing, we look to that great Physician whose leaves are for the healing of the nations. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, not only in His great works but in the least thing about Him, for the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He first said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, showing that pardon and healing are joined together in His hand. While Jehovah lives the mourner need not despair, for He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and He is able also to heal the wounded body.

Therefore we must labor to get rid of fear, for fear is weakening and dishonors God. The Lord says, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, Fear not, I will help you. It is Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant, Fear not. Let this promise quiet your anxious thoughts concerning a pierced lung or other grave harm.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, Father of mercies, look in compassion upon this brother who has fallen and suffers pain in his side. Lay Your healing hand upon him. If bone be bruised or broken, do You knit and restore it. Preserve him from all inward injury, keep his lungs and breath, and suffer no pneumothorax nor grievous complication to come upon him. Grant wisdom to those who examine and tend him, and raise him up again in health.

Remember also his sister who watches and intercedes, and their mother in her age and infirmity. Sustain these two who together bear the burden of her care. Give them strength for each day, patience in trial, and grace to cast their burden upon You who bears it for them. Let them prove that Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light because You bear it with them.

Forgive our sins and heal us, O Lord, for Your own name's sake, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who bore our sins and our sorrows. Amen.

We will continue to bear you up before the throne of grace, and we trust you will let us know how the Lord is pleased to deal with your brother.
