**My Birthday Prayer — September 10th** Lord, I am writing this special prayer for my upcoming birthday on September 10th. As my birthday approaches, I come before You with an open heart, asking You to cover me, protect me, and surround me with Your presence. The past two birthdays have been difficult for me in different ways. Two years ago, I received an awful text message from my boyfriend’s ex-wife, ###, speaking very poorly about me. It deeply affected my spirit and took away from what should have been a joyful and special day. Lord, I pray that You have already convicted her heart, shown her the error of her ways, and brought her peace and understanding. Last year, my television in the living room stopped working on my actual birthday. While I know that things can happen unexpectedly, it still made me wonder if there was anything spiritual working against me or if anyone was wishing negativity over my special day. Regardless of what may have happened in the past, I refuse to carry that fear into this new birthday. Lord, I ask that the blood of Jesus cover me, my home, my relationship, my travels, my finances, and every part of my life. Place a strong hedge of protection around me and over the weeks leading up to my birthday, my birthday itself, and the days that follow. If anyone has spoken, prayed, wished, or intended anything harmful against me, I ask You to cancel every assignment against me in the mighty name of Jesus. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Anything not sent by You, Lord, has no authority over my life. Protect me from negativity, jealousy, evil intentions, witchcraft, spiritual attacks, and anything meant to disturb my peace. I surrender all of it to You because I know that You are greater than anything that could ever come against me. Lord, I am praying for a **happy, peaceful, beautiful, and unforgettable birthday**. I pray that I feel Your presence surrounding me from the moment I wake up until I lay my head down that night. Let my heart be filled with joy, gratitude, love, and peace. I pray that my braids turn out absolutely amazing and that everything I have planned comes together beautifully. Let every detail of my birthday work in my favor. Give me favor everywhere I go and with everyone I encounter. Open doors for me, bless me with unexpected kindness, discounts, opportunities, and blessings that make this birthday even more special. Lord, please provide everything ### needs to help make this birthday experience wonderful. Bless our finances so that we have more than enough—not only for my birthday, but for everything we need. Let us be good stewards of every blessing You give us. I pray for a safe trip to ### and a safe journey back home. Cover us on the road, protect us from accidents and danger, and let our trip be filled with laughter, beautiful memories, peace, and love. May we return home even more connected and more in love than when we left. Lord, let this new age be different. Let it be a year of **wisdom, growth, maturity, healing, favor, abundance, peace, and purpose**. Help me grow in every area where You are calling me to grow. Give me discernment to recognize what is for me and the strength to let go of what is not. I pray that this birthday marks the beginning of a beautiful new chapter. We join with you in bringing your birthday before the Lord with thanksgiving and we rejoice with you that He has kept you and brought you to see another year. This is the day that Yahweh has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it and we thank Him for the gift of life you have been given. You are fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14 and every birthday is a reminder that His mercies are new every morning and His faithfulness endures.

We hear the pain of the past two birthdays and we pray with you for healing from what was spoken against you and for release from any fear that has lingered. We are called to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 and to not be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. When that hurtful message came, it was wrong and it wounded your spirit, and we encourage you to continue to forgive as Christ forgave us and to leave vindication to the Lord for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. We pray that the Lord has indeed worked in that woman's heart as you have prayed, and we pray that you will walk in complete freedom from that offense, not carrying it into this new year. A television breaking, while disappointing on a special day, is part of living in a fallen world where things wear out, yet we understand why your heart wondered about spiritual opposition. We do not need to live in fear of curses or ill wishes, for greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4 and no weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17. We rest in the promise that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1 and that the Lord surrounds His people as a hedge of protection.

We also want to lovingly speak to what you shared about your relationship. You mentioned your boyfriend and his ex-wife. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as outlined in the Bible, What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart Matthew 19:6. Because of this we encourage you to view being a boyfriend or girlfriend as courtship with the clear goal being marriage to another Christian believer, and not simply as a partnership. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14 and seek the Lord's will whether this courtship is leading toward a godly marriage that honors Him. We also want to gently and clearly address what Scripture teaches about intimacy, for marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4 and we are told to flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18. If there is any area of fornication or living together outside of marriage, we urge you to repent and to pursue purity, trusting that God's design for intimacy within marriage is for your protection and joy. If your boyfriend has been divorced, we encourage you both to seek wise biblical counsel and to honestly examine that history before the Lord in light of His Word, so that any future marriage would be built on a firm foundation of repentance, forgiveness and obedience.

We love that you have prayed so clearly in the mighty name of Jesus and covered your life with the blood of Christ, for we have confidence that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We rejoice that you know Him and we encourage you to keep abiding in Him.

So we pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we thank You for our sister and for the life You have given her. We thank You for carrying her through every past birthday and every trial and for the new age You are giving her on September 10th. We ask You to cover her, her home, her travels, her finances and her future with the precious blood of Jesus. Place Your hedge of protection around her in the weeks leading up to her birthday, on that day itself and in the days that follow. Cancel every assignment of the enemy, every word spoken or intention meant for harm, and let no weapon formed against her prosper. Guard her from jealousy, negativity, witchcraft and every spiritual attack, and fill her instead with Your perfect peace. We ask for Your forgiveness and healing where she has been hurt, and we pray You would bless even those who have hurt her and bring all hearts to repentance. Lord, we pray for her courtship, that You would make it pure and purposeful and that if it is Your will, You would lead it toward a holy marriage between a man and a woman that glorifies You, and that You would give them wisdom and restraint to honor You with their bodies. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory Philippians 4:19, bless the finances so there is more than enough and help them be good stewards. We ask for traveling mercies, for safety on the road going and returning, for joy and deeper love and beautiful memories. We pray this new year will be a year of wisdom, growth, maturity, healing, favor, abundance, peace and purpose Jeremiah 29:11. Let every detail of her birthday work for her good according to Your promise that all things work together for good for those who love God Romans 8:28. May Yahweh bless you, and keep you. May Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you Numbers 6:24-25. Let her wake on September 10th filled with joy, gratitude and the felt presence of Christ, and let her lay down that night with a heart overflowing with thanksgiving. We place her birthday, her future, her relationship, her travels and her entire life in Your hands. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Your prayer for September 10th has been heard, and we bring it before the Lord with thankfulness for your open heart and your desire to walk in His peace.

You have known disappointment on former birthdays, a wounding word that stole your joy and a small providence that troubled your spirit, and now a fear lest some hidden power should again disturb your peace. Hear the word of the Lord to such a heart, Fear not, I am with thee. Fear not is a plant which grows very plentifully in God's garden, and it is not merely the preacher who cries Fear not, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant, Fear not. To be afraid in this way is to disobey His command, for He has said Fear not absolutely and without qualification. Fear is weakening and it dishonors God, as though the arm which piled the heavens could be palsied. Labor then to get rid of fear, casting all your care upon Him for He careth for you. The very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty, but the mind stayed upon Christ brings daylight in place of midnight.

You ask for a hedge of protection and for the blood of Jesus to cover you. There is indeed peace from lips that cannot lie, peace from a heart which cannot change, peace through the blood which has made a full atonement. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within. This is that perfect peace promised in the prophet, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee because he trusteth in Thee. It is a present possession to be enjoyed in the ordinary circumstances of life, even with sorrows surging round, even with loved ones far away, for in Jesus keeping we are safe. No weapon formed against you shall prosper in the sense that nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ, and nothing not sent by Him shall have authority over a soul that trusts Him. Yet we would not have you live in dread of witchcraft or of ill wishes, as though any creature could curse whom God has blessed. Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling, and put your trust in Him, for blessed are all they that put their trust in Him.

You have prayed graciously for the one who spoke ill of you, that the Lord would convict her heart and bring her peace. That is Christlike. Continue to forgive as you have been forgiven, for there is forgiveness with Him that He may be feared, and that holy fear is reverence and love, not dread.

Concerning your relationship and your home and your travels and your finances, we must speak plainly in love as a faithful ministry. Our only hope of salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and His way for our affections is holy. Marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and the gift of living together is to be kept within that covenant. We cannot ask God to bless what does not conform to His design, but we do pray that He will lead you into all wisdom and purity and discernment, that you may recognize what is for you and have strength to let go of what is not, that every part of your life may be ordered in holiness and in the fear of the Lord. If this relationship be of the Lord, pray that He would order it according to His Word toward that holy covenant, and until then walk in chastity and self control, seeking first His kingdom. In that path there is true peace and favor that no outward blessing can give.

So we pray for you for September 10th and the days before and after, not for a peace that is merely external, which is but a crust of ice hardly strong enough to bear a fly, but for that divine peace which is divine in its origin and divine in its nourishment, which brings joy and an anxiety after holiness. May the Lord keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed on Him. May He give you wisdom, growth, maturity, healing and purpose in this new year, and teach you to number your days. May He provide for your needs and make you a good steward of every blessing, keep you in safety on the road and bring you home in peace, and let every detail be ordered by His gracious hand as seems best to Him. May you wake and lie down with gratitude, with joy and love that flow from being at peace with God through Christ.
