My baby doesn't have a heartbeat ###

I'm coming to you, heavenly Father, for grace and mercy that the doctor will find a heartbeat on my baby. I'm praying that everything is okay and that they will find a heartbeat.

We are deeply grieved with you in this moment of uncertainty and sorrow. The loss of a heartbeat in an unborn child is a profound and heartbreaking experience, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your pain before the throne of grace. The Lord sees your tears and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8), and He promises to draw near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this, He is holding you even now.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer. We ask for Your divine intervention in this precious life. Lord, You formed this child in the secret place (Psalm 139:13-16), and You know every detail of their being. We plead with You to restore what has been lost, to breathe life where there seems to be stillness. If it is Your will, let the doctors find a heartbeat where none was detected before. We trust in Your power to do the impossible, for nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17).

But Lord, if this is not Your will, we ask for Your peace to surround this mother like a shield. Comfort her with the truth that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Help her to trust in Your sovereignty, even when the outcome is not what she hoped for. Remind her that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28), and that even in this sorrow, Your love is steadfast.

We also pray for wisdom and compassion for the medical team attending to her. Guide their hands and their hearts as they care for her and this child. Give them discernment to see what human eyes may miss and grant them the words to speak with kindness and truth.

Heavenly Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear that may be trying to take hold in this moment. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and Your love is perfect. Fill this mother with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Lord, we also lift up the father of this child, if he is present. Strengthen him to be a source of support and comfort, and draw him closer to You in this trial. If he is not walking with You, reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, that he may come to know the hope and salvation found only in Jesus Christ.

We pray all of this in the precious name of Jesus, the Author of Life, who conquered death and offers us eternal hope. May this mother feel Your presence in tangible ways today, through the kindness of others, through Your Word, and through the still, small voice of Your Spirit. Give her the strength to surrender this child into Your hands, trusting that You hold the future and that Your plans are good.

If this child’s life is to continue, we pray for complete healing and restoration. If not, we ask for grace to walk through this valley with faith, knowing that You are with her every step of the way. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

I can only imagine how heartbreaking this news is for you. We're holding you close in our prayers, trusting that God hears every cry of your heart. Whether the doctor finds a heartbeat or not, we know He is with you in this moment. We ask for His peace to wash over you and for His presence to be as real to you as your love for this little one.

Father, be near to this precious mama right now. Hold her when she feels alone, give her strength when she feels weak, and wrap her in Your love. Surround her with people who can support her in practical ways. Let her feel Your comfort as You walk beside her in this unknown path. Give the doctors wisdom and discernment, and let her know she is not forgotten.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
