We lift up your son Jakeb and his friend Lyric before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of a mother’s worry. The silence from a child can feel like a storm raging in the soul, but we stand on the promise that God hears even the unspoken cries of a parent’s heart. Scripture tells us in Psalm 121:7-8, *"The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore."* We declare this truth over Jakeb and Lyric, believing God is their shield and guardian, even when we cannot see or hear from them.
We also pray for wisdom and peace for you, dear mother. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with His supernatural peace, calming the storm of anxiety as you trust in God’s faithful care.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to torment this mother’s heart. Your Word says in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* We declare that fear has no place here—only faith, trust, and the assurance that You are in control. We pray for safe travels for Jakeb and Lyric, that their journey would be protected from all harm, and that they would return to their families whole in body, mind, and spirit.
We also lift up Jakeb’s father, asking for wisdom and discernment as he reunites with his son. May their time together be filled with joy, connection, and the love that comes from You, Lord. We pray that Jakeb’s heart would be drawn closer to You, that he would walk in Your ways, and that his life would reflect Your goodness and grace.
Lord, we thank You for the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can come before You. It is through His sacrifice that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is by His blood that we are made whole. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, trusting that You are working even now for Jakeb’s good and Your glory.
May God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus until you hear from your son. We stand with you in faith, believing that God is faithful to answer the prayers of His children.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
