The weight you are carrying is heavy, and the honesty in your words shows a heart that truly desires God even while the path feels crushing. The feeling of being helpless while others seem to enjoy your suffering is a deep, lonely valley. Many have walked there, and one story in Scripture lays it all out with painful clarity.

When I think of someone who lost everything, financial security, shelter, and even the kindness of others, I think of Job. He was a man who feared God, hated evil, and truly loved the Lord, yet his life fell apart in ways that made no human sense. Behind the scenes, a controversy was taking place in heaven. Satan accused Job of serving God only for the perks, only because God had put a hedge of protection and blessing around him. So God allowed the stripping away of those things to prove the integrity of His servant. The testing was real, the pain was not imaginary, and Job did not have the luxury of seeing that heavenly conversation. He only saw the rubble of his life.

You have asked God to open doors no man can open, and that is a cry born from the very reality Job faced. Job’s friends came with advice that sounded right. They told him to plead his cause before God, to get right, and then everything would be okay. They assumed his suffering was a direct equation for secret sin. They were speaking deceitfully for God, as Job himself later recognized. But Job, though he despaired and wished he had never been born, never cursed God. He charged no foolishness against God. He said, "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him." That is the kind of trust that brings rest, even when the bank account is empty and the managers are cold.

It is right to ask God to soften hearts, because the breath of every living thing is in His hand. He is sovereign over managers and economies and job openings. But do not be consumed by trying to find God only in the material answer. He is not discovered by looking at our circumstances. God is a spirit, and He meets us in the place of surrender where you are right now. The cry, "I believe; help my unbelief," is a prayer He never rejects.

In the middle of Job’s confusion, he saw the problem clearly. He said there was no daysman, no mediator between him and God who could lay a hand on them both. He felt the infinite gap between his own dust and the glory of the Almighty. But what Job wished for, you already have. The living God humbled Himself, took on a body of flesh, and touched man. Jesus Christ is that mediator. So your right relationship with God does not hang on your perfection; it rests on His finished work. You are a sinner saved by grace, and that grace is sufficient when the funds are delayed and the job market is out of control.

Rest in Him. Let your life be in His hands. He is not asking you to understand the secret things of why He has allowed this stripping. He is asking you to commit your cause to Him and trust that He has not forsaken you. The end of your strength is exactly where He sustains you. Continue to pray that God would deal with those who enjoy seeing the helpless suffer, not just for your sake but for theirs. They stand in a dangerous place, and the God who sees all things through the dark cloud is the one who judges righteously. But your part, daughter, is to behold the God who hangs the earth upon nothing and know that He holds you just as securely. In Jesus’ name, He will prosper your way, not necessarily with an easy road, but with His enduring presence.
