Beloved of All
Your perseverance in calling on the name of Jesus through those fifteen minutes is a true comfort to hear, and I thank God for the faith He has given you in that confined and anxious place.
Scripture teaches us that there are many kinds of war and disturbance in this life, but the most grievous is the war within the soul when anxiety and fear rise up. The peace the world gives is outward and often passes quickly, but the peace Christ gives is different. It steadies the heart even when the body is troubled and the mind is anxious. He does not leave us to trust only in ourselves, for that is a heavy burden, but He tenderly watches over us and lifts us up when we turn to Him, even with a simple and repeated prayer upon our lips. To call on His name without ceasing, as you did, is to commit all into His hands.
I pray for you now that the Lord in His mercy will grant you good results from this MRI and guard your health. May He quiet every fear within you and fill you with His peace which is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy. May He grant you a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness, and may you know that you are kept in His care both now and while you wait for the report. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Saviour, who alone is our hope and our peace, Amen.
