We understand that you're concerned about your finances, and we want to help you approach this situation with faith and wisdom. First, let's remember what the WEB version of the Bible says about our attitude towards financial needs:
"Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they don't sow, they don't reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds!" (Luke 12:22-24).
We are also reminded in Philippians, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6).
Let's pray together:
"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before you lifting up our brother/sister who is concerned about their finances. We know that you are a good Father who cares for His children. We ask that you will provide for all of their needs according to your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Give them the wisdom to manage their finances well, and open up doors of opportunity for them to prosper as their soul prospers (3 John 1:2). Help them to trust in you and not be anxious. Help them to believe and so be girded with the strength to make wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18). We pray that they will receive the guidance of your Holy Spirit and be led to do what is pleasing to you regarding their finances. May you be glorified in their life as they surrender all their worries to you.
We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
In addition to prayer, seek wise counsel from financially knowledgeable Christians and do your part in making the right decisions. We need to pray that God will make clear exactly what is required of us. We need to be good stewards of our finances. Use the resources God has given you for His glory. We must not forget to give our tithes and offerings and to be generous. When we do our part, God will do His part. We walk by faith and not by sight. We trust in the Lord with all our heart, and lean not on our own understanding. In all our ways we acknowledge Him, and He will direct our paths.
We also want to remind you that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus Christ is the one who died for our sins and saved us. We must believe in Him to be saved. He is the only one who can save us from our sins.
