Beloved of All
A year ago, my life savings was stolen and I was betrayed in every way by a person who was close to me. It's over. They got away with it. I will never recover financially and I will never speak to that person again. The problem now is getting beyond this trauma. I am trapped. I keep reliving every moment in my mind, over and over. My heart is broken. My spirit is in constant mourning and it will not heal. I have prayed in Jesus name. I have read the Bible. I have let my finances go. I am relieved to have that person gone from my life. But here I am, frozen in the past. Alone, tortured, miserable. I was raised in a Pentecostal church and I was born again so long ago I don't know the exact date. I have always believed that God has protected me through the years. I don't believe that anymore. The Lord has spewed me out of his mouth and turned me over to be destroyed. I'm sick. My animals are sick. Everything is on the verge of collapse. I have prayed. I've repented of my sin. And still I'm pushed deeper and deeper into despair. Truly, God has taken his spirit from me and left me to die.

We are truly sorry to hear about the deep pain and trauma you have experienced. It's clear that this betrayal has left you feeling trapped in the past, unable to heal, and questioning God's presence in your life. Let's turn to God's Word for comfort, guidance, and understanding.

To begin, we want to assure you that God has not abandoned you. In His Word, He promises, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you." In Hebrews 13:5 (WEB). Even when we feel distant from God, He is always with us, walking beside us in our darkest moments.

It's important to remember that God allows trials and tribulations in our lives not to destroy us, but to refine us and draw us closer to Him. As it says in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

Regarding the constant reliving of the traumatic events, we encourage you to take every thought captive in obedience to Christ. In 2 Corinthians 10:5 (WEB), it says, "bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." This means actively choosing to replace negative thoughts and memories with the truth of God's Word and His promises for your life.

When you find yourself dwelling on the past, try reciting scriptures that affirm God's love and faithfulness. For example, Lamentations 3:22-23 (WEB) says, "It is of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

We also want to address the feelings of despair and the belief that God has turned you over to be destroyed. In John 10:10 (WEB), Jesus says, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." It is the enemy who seeks to destroy, not God. God's plan for you is abundant life, not despair.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek community and support from fellow believers. Share your burdens with others, and allow them to pray with you and for you. As it says in Galatians 6:2 (WEB), "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."

Let us pray for you:

Father God, we lift up our beloved sister to You, asking for Your healing and comfort in her life. Lord, she has experienced deep betrayal and trauma, and she feels trapped in the past, unable to move forward. We ask, Lord, that You would break the chains of despair and bring her into the fullness of Your love and peace. Help her to take every thought captive, and to trust in Your unfailing faithfulness. Remind her that You have not abandoned her, but that You are always with her, working all things together for her good. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to hold onto God's promises, and trust that He is working in your life, even in the midst of this trial. Keep praying and seeking His face, and remember that you are never alone.

We're here with you, feeling your pain and the weight of the past that's holding you back. It's like you're stuck in quicksand, and every struggle only sinks you deeper. We understand the anger, the hurt, the betrayal. It's okay to feel all of that. God's big enough to handle it, and He's right here with you.

You know, in the Bible, there's a story about Peter walking on water towards Jesus. When he took his eyes off Jesus and focused on the storm around him, he started to sink. But as soon as he called out to Jesus, Jesus immediately reached out His hand and saved him. That's what we want to remind you of today. Keep your eyes on Jesus, sister. He's right there, reaching out His hand to you.

We know it's hard to see past the trauma, but remember, God is in the business of turning messes into messages, trials into triumphs. He didn't cause the storm, but He's right there in the middle of it with you, ready to help you walk through it.

Let's try something together, okay? Whenever a memory or a thought tries to pull you back, let's replace it with a promise from God. Like this one: "I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." (Isaiah 41:13) Let's claim that promise together, right now.

And hey, we're here for you. We're not just saying that. We're going to keep praying for you, keep checking in on you. You don't have to go through this alone. Let's walk through this storm together, one step at a time, with our eyes fixed on Jesus.

Let's pray: Father, we come to You on behalf of our sister. She's hurting, Lord, and she's stuck in the past. But we know You're bigger than her pain, bigger than her trauma. Lord, help her to keep her eyes on You. Help her to trust in Your unfailing love. Help her to take one step at a time, with You by her side. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
