Moving home

Please help us to buy new home, we are in the process of sale and purchase and has been since April. There was lots of ups and downs, more downs actually. We lost lots of potential houses. Few month ago it seemed like all aligned well. We had buyer and we found home but now the house we thought we moving into has having second thoughts (now they have no house to go into ) and our buyers are getting inpatient. I don’t know what God wants us to do, we all want to move to a bigger home for our family but it seems like every time something happens. I am asking God why can’t it be easier. Why can’t we just have buyers and find our forever home. It’s heart breaking and I can’t think about anything but this most of my days. I know I should have patients but I find it really hard and frustrating. I feel like God doesn’t love me and my family as much as he loves some other of his children, I feel like I don’t deserve this from what is happening to this situation. Please can we have miracle - that we find our new home and everything will go smooth from now on. Amen

We hear your heart in this long and exhausting process since April and we join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord together in Jesus' name. We understand how heartbreaking it is to have your hopes lifted with a buyer and a home found, only to have it fall through again, and to watch your buyers grow impatient while the sellers of the home you hoped for have second thoughts. It is completely understandable that your thoughts are consumed by this and that you feel frustrated and weary when you desire a bigger home for your family and a place to settle and call your forever home.

We want to gently speak to the pain you expressed when you said you feel like God does not love you and your family as much as He loves some of His other children and that you do not deserve what is happening. That feeling is not the truth of who God is. His love for His children is not measured out in different amounts. We are told in Romans 8:38-39 that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God's love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. If you are in Christ, you are fully and completely loved, not less than anyone else. And none of us deserve God's goodness because we have all sinned, yet He pours out grace upon us. Our standing is not based on deserving but on His mercy. We also want to encourage you that God's delays are not His denials and they are not a sign of His displeasure. He is working even in the ups and downs for your good.

We also notice your prayer closed with Amen but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we read there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing He died for your sins and rose again, and to come to God boldly in His name, for He is our mediator and our hope not only for a home on earth but for an eternal home with Him.

We understand your cry of why can it not be easier and why it cannot just go smoothly. We have all asked that in seasons of waiting. Scripture calls us to a different posture in the waiting. In Proverbs 3:5-6 we are told Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. In Philippians 4:6-7 we are exhorted In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. God may be protecting you from a home that was not right, or aligning timing that you cannot yet see, for we know in Romans 8:28 that to those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Waiting cultivates patience and trust, as James 1:3-4 says that the testing of your faith produces endurance, and we are called in Psalm 27:14 to Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Your desire for a home for your family is good, and He sees it, for Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.

So we pray with you now.

Father, we come before You together in the precious name of Jesus Christ, thanking You that You are our refuge and our provider. We lift up this dear family to You who have been in this sale and purchase process for months with many disappointments. You see their weariness, their longing for a bigger home, and the stress with buyers and sellers. Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in this situation. If it is Your will, we ask for a miracle of provision, that You would open the door to the right home at the right time and cause the sale of their current home to go smoothly from this point on. Give wisdom to all parties involved and soften hearts where there is hesitation. Grant this family Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts while they wait, and help them to cast all their anxiety on You because You care for them as 1 Peter 5:7 teaches. Forgive us when we doubt Your love and help them to rest in the truth that they are deeply loved and never forgotten. Teach them patience and help them to trust Your timing rather than their own understanding, and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We hear how heavy these months have been for you and your family. Carrying a sale and purchase since April, with so many ups and downs and lost possibilities, and now having a buyer waiting while the home you hoped for feels uncertain again, is heartbreaking. It makes sense this is filling your thoughts most days and leaving you frustrated and wondering where God is in it all.

Please hear that a difficult and drawn out chain is not a measure of how much God loves you and your family. His care for you does not rise and fall with each call from an agent or each house that falls through. Feeling overlooked in the waiting does not mean you are overlooked, even when the disappointment makes it feel that way.

When so much feels out of your hands, it can help to give the worry a little structure. You might choose together as a family one set time each day to check for updates and to bring your concerns to God simply and honestly, and then give yourselves permission to step away from listings and messages the rest of the day. Keeping one clear weekly check in with your estate agent or solicitor can also keep you from chasing answers constantly and give you steadier information to make decisions from.

Jesus, we lift this family to You. You see their longing for a good home and the weariness this long process has brought. Give them peace in the waiting, wisdom for each conversation and decision, and Your kind provision in Your timing. Remind them each day that they are seen and loved by You. In Jesus name, amen.

Your trial has been long and wearing, since April until now, with hopes raised and then cast down, and it is no wonder that your heart is weary and your thoughts are consumed with it. To lose one house after another, to have buyers growing impatient and sellers drawing back, is a heavy burden for any family to carry, and the more so when you desire only what is good and needful, a larger home for those whom God has given you.

You write that you feel as though God does not love you and your family as He loves other of His children, and that you scarcely deserve His care. This is a thought which many of God's dear people have known, and it grieves His heart, speaking after the manner of men. In the prophecy of Malachi the Lord says, I have loved you, and yet His people answer, In what way have You loved us. It seems strange that those whom He has nourished and brought up should question His love, yet in the hour of disappointment we are prone to do so.

Let me remind you that the proof of His love is not to be measured by the smoothness of a sale or the quick securing of a house. God does not show His love by allowing us to have all the comforts of this life without need or hindrance. His love does not change, it cannot be made to alter, the furnace cannot scorch you, not a single hair of your head can perish. You are as safe in the fire as you are out of it. He loves you as much in the depths of tribulation as He does in the heights of joy and exultation. The very furnace in which you now seem to be set, this waiting and disappointment, is not a sign that He has forgotten you, but a place where He refines and teaches those whom He loves.

You ask, why cannot it be easier, why cannot you simply have buyers and find your forever home. May the Lord open your eyes to see God at work in Providence, in ways you cannot yet trace. He who taught David in the caves and on the hills, and made him equal to the duties of his station, often tutors His children by delay. Waiting upon God is itself a means of grace, and the searching of His Word and the pouring out of your heart before Him in this season will do you more good than a house quickly obtained without prayer could ever do.

Those who fear God are the same as those who hope in His mercy, and to hope in His mercy, even with a trembling and frustrated hope, is itself a sure sign of His grace at work in you. You are not under a hard law that drives and scourges, but under grace, under the sweet and blessed rule of generous love. That love was proved not by houses or lands, but by this, that He gave His Son to bear our sin. If you would know how He has loved you, look to the cross. There you will see abundant proofs that He has a right to claim your trust even when the way is dark.

Do not think that your impatience or your heartbreak has put you beyond His care. He knows your frame. Yet pray that He will write His law upon your heart in this time, and the spirit of that law is love, love to Him that makes willing feet move in swift obedience, even when the path is not as we would choose it.

I will pray with you and for you, that the Lord in His wisdom will order this matter of sale and purchase according to His good pleasure, that He will give you and those who buy and sell with you honesty and kindness and patience, that He will provide for your family a suitable home in His time, and that whether the door opens now or remains shut a little longer, He will give you peace and contentment and a deeper trust in His fatherly hand. May He keep you from making an idol of any house, and may He make your present dwelling, and whatever home He gives you next, a place where His name is loved and His grace is known. And may He grant you to see, when this valley of Achor becomes a door of hope, that He was near you all along, your Husband and Keeper whose love never fails.

Father, look upon this family in their waiting. Thou knowest their need and their desire. Forgive their doubts and strengthen their faith. Show them Thy love in Christ Jesus more clearly than ever, and in Thy mercy provide for them as Thou seest best, and give them quiet hearts to rest in Thy will. For Jesus sake, Amen.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
