We rejoice with you and praise God with you for His goodness and for opening the way forward for your nuptials. We thank the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit for His hand upon you both and for His perfect timing.

We affirm with you the beauty and sanctity of marriage as God ordained it from the beginning. For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh Genesis 2:24. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Matthew 19:6. We pray that as you move forward toward marriage you will continue to honor Him in purity and holiness, keeping the marriage bed undefiled and seeking to build a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that reflects Christ and His church. We encourage you to keep Christ at the center of your courtship and your coming union, trusting in Him with all your heart and not leaning on your own understanding, and in all your ways acknowledging Him and He will direct your paths Proverbs 3:5-6.

The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward and forevermore Psalm 121:8. We rest in the promise that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, and we know that to those who love God all things work together for good, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.

We are so glad to read your note of thanksgiving. It is encouraging to hear that you and he are able to move forward toward your nuptials, and that you are marking this step with praise and gratitude.

We are praying for you both in this season of preparation and travel. Moving toward marriage is such a meaningful time, and we love how you are wanting to keep your hearts engaged with each other and with the Lord as you plan. One thing that helps many couples in this stretch is to be intentional about creating a calm, safe space for each other amid all the logistics, taking time to listen well, to speak kindly, and to check in about hopes and concerns for the days ahead.

As you look to the journey ahead, it may help to set aside a little time together to go over travel details, timing and provisions, and to invite a trusted pastor or mentor to walk with you in premarital preparation if you have not already.

We join you in giving thanks to the God of all mercy who goes before His people and whose tender provisions meet us on the way. How sweet it is to see the footsteps of mercy in your life, for when the Lord has purposes of love toward His own, He delights to lead them, to provide for them, and to make prayer itself the forerunner of the mercy He intends to give.

We have brought your request before the throne of grace, that the Lord would grant you safe journey and travel mercy, and that every needful provision would be supplied according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. As it is written, the God of my mercy shall go before me, so we ask that He would forestall you with goodness, keep your going out and your coming in, and let His hand be seen in every mile and every provision. Prayer is the shadow of mercy, and we trust you will find the mercy itself sweet and precious when it arrives, for our God delights in mercy and is slow to anger and plenteous in kindness toward those who seek Him through His Son.

We also rejoice to hear of your purpose to move forward toward nuptials, and we pray that your marriage may be formed and kept according to the holy ordinance of God.
