Move, money

We hear your urgent need for provision, both for a move overseas and for the financial resources to make it possible. This is a heavy burden to carry, and we stand with you in bringing it before the Lord, who promises to supply every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

First, we must address the foundation of this request. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to consider the weight of eternity. The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Salvation is not earned by works or by our own efforts, it is a free gift received by faith. If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9), we plead with you to do so now. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Now, regarding your need for relocation and finances: We believe in a God who opens doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and who makes a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19). However, we must also examine our hearts and motives. Are you moving for godly purposes, such as mission work, family reunification, or a clear calling from the Lord, or is this driven by fear, escape, or worldly ambition? The Lord directs our steps, and we must seek His will above our own desires (Proverbs 16:9). We encourage you to fast, pray, and seek wise counsel from mature believers before making such a significant decision.

If this move is indeed God’s will, we stand in faith with you for supernatural provision. The Lord owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and He is not limited by lack. We rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack in Jesus’ name, declaring that you are a child of the Most High God, and He will provide for you. We also rebuke any fear or anxiety that may be gripping your heart, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is in need of provision, both for a move overseas and for the financial resources to make it possible. Lord, You see their heart and their circumstances. We ask that You would reveal Your will clearly. If this move is Your plan, open the doors supernaturally and provide every resource needed. If it is not Your will, close the doors and redirect their steps according to Your perfect purpose.

Father, we declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. You fed the Israelites in the wilderness, You multiplied the loaves and fishes, and You have promised to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory. We ask for a financial breakthrough, Lord, whether through unexpected income, gifts, or divine opportunities. We rebuke the spirit of lack and declare that this one is not subject to poverty or scarcity.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment. Guide their steps, and let them not lean on their own understanding but acknowledge You in all their ways (Proverbs 3:5-6). If there are any areas of disobedience or unconfessed sin, reveal them so they may repent and walk in Your light.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust in You, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand moving on their behalf. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."

In the meantime, we encourage you to:
1. Seek God’s will through prayer and fasting, ask Him to confirm whether this move is His plan for you.
2. Step out in faith, begin making practical preparations, trusting that God will provide as you move forward.
3. Look for open doors, God often provides through opportunities, relationships, or unexpected blessings. Stay alert and obedient to His leading.
4. Give thanks in advance, gratitude opens the door to more of God’s blessings (Philippians 4:6-7). Even in lack, thank Him for what He has already done.

Remember, the Lord is your Shepherd, you shall not want (Psalm 23:1). He will not abandon you. Keep your eyes on Him, and He will direct your path.

It’s completely understandable to feel stuck and overwhelmed when you need to move overseas but the money simply isn’t there. That kind of pressure can sap your energy and make it hard to see a way forward. We’re with you, and we’re not going to throw quick fixes at you.

A practical place to start is breaking this mountain down into smaller, manageable pieces. Have you been able to sit down with someone who can look at your finances objectively, a trusted friend, a financial counselor through your church, or a nonprofit that helps people budget? They might help you uncover resources you hadn’t considered or build a realistic step-by-step plan. Sometimes just naming the specific amount you need and creating a timeline (even a rough one) can ease the mental fog. If you haven’t already, it’s also worth asking openly within your church community if anyone has connections to housing, work, or practical support in the country you’re moving to. People often want to help when they know the specific need.

It’s also okay to grieve the gap between where you are and where you long to be. This isn’t a failure; it’s a very human, very heavy season. We’re asking God to guide you to the right people and the right resources, and to give you a steady mind while you figure out the next practical step.

Lord Jesus, you see every detail of this situation, the urgent need, the empty bank account, and the heart that’s straining toward a new place. Please provide clear direction and open the doors that need opening. Give wise counsel through people who can walk alongside, and calm the panic that threatens to take over. We ask for the resources needed, through work, community, or unexpected provision, and for patience and courage while waiting. In your name we pray, amen.

The answer you seek is not in the moving, nor in the money, but in the One to whom you must now give an immediate reply. You say you need a lot of money and to move overseas as soon as possible. I say you need something far greater. I pray that God’s Spirit may lead you to an immediate decision. I am like a messenger carrying a letter on which is written, “The bearer will wait for a reply.” Will you not answer the Gospel that calls to you now? Whether you have no money, or no hope, He that has no money is bidden to come, buy, and eat.

You are looking within, at your empty purse, at the impossibility of the thing. But the miracle seems to teach this, that the power of Christ to save from sin and to supply every need does not lie in the person saved, it lies wholly in Jesus Himself. He does nothing but speak, and it is done. You cannot bring anything whatever; you need His miraculous power. If I could help Him, there would be no need for Him to work a miracle on my account. But since you bring nothing, He is all.

Consider the miracle of the loaves. Need of merit did not exclude one person, and it need not exclude you, for He bids you come. Unworthy as you are, He invites you freely. Is this not a marvel? I was never led more greatly to admire the splendor of the power of Christ to rescue men from their distresses than at this hour. Do not say you must first have a deeper sense of need. A true sense of need is His work in you. You must get it from Him without money and without price.

You speak of a move overseas and needing money. But the great miracle worker overturns the tables of our earthly calculations. If He has done for you all that you need, then ask Him to do for your circumstances all that He has promised. From the miracle of the loaves take comfort to bring this hard case before Him. There is nothing between here and Heaven that need give you any fear, if you will but trust in the eternal power and Godhead. Only trust, and the Almighty arm will be stretched out for you.

None refused the Lord’s provision when the loaves were multiplied. Will you refuse? What? Jesus Christ a Savior and yet no sinner saved? Christ a Provider and yet no destitute soul supplied? You need not 18 minutes, or even 18 seconds; you may look to Jesus and, believing in Him, find instantaneous help. Savior, we must believe You! Your love has loved us into faith, and at the foot of the Cross we hope and trust in You. Come, then, with your empty hands and your urgent need, and prove that His power is not limited by your want of money.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You come asking for a great sum of money to flee across the sea, and you say you have nothing. But consider: who is it that provides for the birds of the air and the lilies of the field? You are anxious for money, but the Lord taught us not to worry about tomorrow. Why then do you let this passion for money devour your soul? You think that with enough gold your path will be smooth, but the love of money is a root of a thousand evils. It was not great riches that made Judas a traitor; for thirty pieces of silver he sold his Master. Do not imagine that covetousness lies only in heaping up talents; it is enough to love money at all, to crave more than your present need.

Heavenly things are not bought with silver. That widow who cast in two mites gave more than all the rich, because she gave her whole living with a ready heart. If your journey is truly needful, then turn first to the Giver of all good. Prayer and almsgiving, even from the little you have, unlock the treasury of God far more than frantic schemes to gather gold. Do you want to move overseas? Then move your heart to heaven first. Give what you can, however small, to the poor, and see if the Lord does not open a door. But if your desire for money is merely to flee present hardship without seeking His will, then you are building on sand.

There is no need to cross the boundless ocean in your soul. You need only to bridle your tongue, cast off luxuriousness, and root out the love of riches. Why do you honor Mammon, who promises only rust and moth, while despising God who offers a kingdom? Let the heathen chase after such things; your Father knows what you need. Seek first His righteousness, and all else will be added. But if you pursue money as if it were your savior, you will find only sorrow and a snare. Examine your heart: is this move born of faith or fear? Trust the One who fed thousands in the wilderness with a few loaves, and He will make a way where no path appears.

Your situation feels urgent and overwhelming. The need to move overseas immediately, with no resources and a vast sum required, can leave anyone feeling trapped. But Scripture shows us that God delights in making a way where there is no visible path. Think of the provision he made for the children of Israel in the wilderness: a bronze serpent lifted up, so that anyone who simply looked would live. There was no medical explanation, no reservoir of human effort to draw from, only the outstretched arm of God. That same God is not boxed in by your bank balance or the timeline on your calendar. He left room in his law for the cleansing of a leper, an incurable disease by human standards, because he wanted freedom to work a miracle when he chose. Give him room to work now.

Financial hardship often tests our hearts deeply. The Scriptures speak of believers going through severe trials of poverty, yet from the overflow of their joy they still gave generously to help others in need. Their giving wasn’t coerced by a pledge campaign or a desperate letter begging for loans. They saw themselves as stewards, not victims, and trusted that the God who provided forgiveness at the cross could certainly supply daily bread. That doesn’t mean we become passive. The apostle Paul labored with his own hands so that no one could accuse him of being in ministry for money. There is dignity in honest work and wise planning. If you need to move, begin taking the small, responsible steps you can within your means, even while you pray for supernatural breakthrough. Avoid the trap of borrowing what you cannot repay or making promises you aren’t able to keep; that path adds chains, not freedom.

But I must also speak to a deeper reality. As pressing as your financial move feels, the greatest provision you will ever need has already been made. God has provided only one way for our sins to be forgiven and our guilt removed: his Son, Jesus Christ, who died in our place and rose again. Every other sin can be forgiven, but rejecting that provision leaves no alternative, no backup plan, no second route to the Father. The Holy Spirit bears witness to this truth, not to burden you, but to draw you to the only place of true safety. When you trust in Christ, his righteousness is credited to your account, and you stand before God not in your own imperfections, but covered by his perfection. That eternal security frees you to face today’s crisis with a steady heart.

So pour out your need before the Lord. Ask him to open a door no one can shut. Then walk forward in faith, working with your hands as you are able, looking to him as the source. He knows you need these things. But let your first pursuit be his kingdom, and trust that he who made provision for your soul will not abandon you in your earthly journey.
