Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing honestly what you are experiencing. I hear that you are sensing a movement in your whole body that seems to happen on its own, that it feels very comfortable, and yet you are uneasy because you do not know where it comes from. It is wise to pay attention to that uneasiness and to bring it before the Lord rather than simply following a feeling because it is pleasant.
Scripture teaches us not to trust every experience or spirit at once, but to test them to see whether they are from God, for even what feels comfortable is not always from Him. The Holy Spirit does not lead us into confusion or into seeking sensations for their own sake. He leads us to Christ, to truth, to self control, to a sound mind, and to the fear of the Lord which must be taught and learned through the Word. True rest and peace are not found in a bodily feeling, however pleasant, but in belonging to Jesus Christ and walking in His ways.
Comfort alone does not tell us the source of something. God calls us to seek Him first, not an experience. If a feeling or movement draws your attention away from Christ, from clear thought, from Scripture and prayer, or makes you passive and uncertain, it is right to step back from it and ask God for wisdom and protection.
I will pray for you, that God will give you clarity, peace, and discernment, and that He will guard your body and mind. I pray that He will help you to know Jesus Christ more deeply as your only Savior and Lord, to grow in His Word, and to find your comfort and rest in Him alone. I pray that any influence that is not from Him would have no place in you, and that the Lord would fill you with His presence, His truth, and His calm.
It would be good for you to take some practical steps as well. Bring this regularly to the Lord in prayer in the name of Jesus, asking Him for wisdom and for His peace to rule in your heart. Stay close to Scripture each day, and speak with a trusted pastor or mature believer in your church who knows you and can walk with you, pray with you, and help you discern what is happening. If these bodily movements continue, are involuntary, or concern you physically, please also speak with a medical professional to care for your body wisely.
You do not need to chase or hold onto this sensation. You can ask God to quiet what is not from Him and to lead you into what is true and holy. He is faithful to hear, to teach, and to keep those who seek Him with a sincere heart.
If you are able, continue to share with your pastors so they can support you and pray with you in person. The Lord sees your desire to understand and to be at peace, and He is able to give you that peace as you keep your eyes on Christ.
