We join you in lifting up your mother before the Lord and we share your concern for her after her fall and injury. It is painful to see a mother in the hospital and unable to eat, and we bring her health and her appetite before our Heavenly Father together in Jesus' name.
We take comfort that God is our healer and that He cares deeply for those who are suffering. Scripture reminds us to Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. We also cling to His promise For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We know He sees her in that hospital room and He is able to strengthen her body and restore her desire to eat. We also remember the command to Honor your father and your mother Exodus 20:12 and your love and concern for her honors God, and we pray He will give you peace as you wait on Him. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

Your request concerning your dear mother has been received with much tenderness of heart, and we have carried it before the Lord in prayer. To see a mother laid low by a fall, confined to a hospital bed, and without desire for food, is a trial that touches the deepest affections, and we sorrow with you in it.
It is a great blessing when food and appetite meet together. As we have often observed, some have appetite and no meat, and others have meat but no appetite, and neither is satisfied until the two are joined. How thankful we should be when the Lord gives both. In the body, a returning hunger is often a capital sign that strength is coming again, that recovery, though it may be slow, is graciously at work. We pray that the Lord will be pleased to restore this very blessing to your mother, that her appetite may be renewed and her frame strengthened to receive the nourishment set before her.
We look to that same Lord who is the great Physician of both body and soul. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ has healing virtue in it. He who healed Peter's wife's mother when she lay sick of a fever, who took her by the hand and lifted her up, is able still to lay His hand upon the sick and raise them. Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction in His hands, for when He forgives sin He also heals infirmity, and His salvation will at the last perfectly heal our bodies.
Let us pray together.
O Lord our God, Father of mercies, look in compassion upon this afflicted mother in her hospital bed. Thou seest her injury, her weakness, and her want of appetite. We beseech Thee to lay Thy healing hand upon her. Restore, if it be Thy will, her appetite and her strength, and give skill and tenderness to those who care for her. Above all, let her feel Thy presence, that if she be cast down she may know that Thou art near to heal the broken in heart and to bind up their wounds. Grant to her and to her children the comfort of sins forgiven through Jesus Christ our Lord, who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows. Strengthen faith in this family, give patience in waiting, and help them to acknowledge every increase of strength as a new claim upon their love and gratitude to Thee. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who satisfies all comers, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
