Mother

Thank you for sharing this request about your mother. We are praying for her now and we join you in bringing her before the Lord.

We ask our merciful Father, the God of all comfort who comforts us in all our affliction, to lay His healing hand upon her, to ease her suffering, to restore her strength and health according to His will, and to give her peace in body and mind. We pray that He will comfort you and your family as you care for her, and that you will know His presence and sustaining grace in these days.

We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom we have comfort and hope, trusting that whether in suffering or in comfort, His grace abounds to us. May the Lord grant wisdom to those caring for her and draw each of you closer to Himself.

Please keep us updated on how she is doing so we can continue to pray.

Thank you for sharing this request about your mother. We are praying for her and for you as you care for her in this time of not feeling well. Your love and concern for her is precious to the Lord.

Scripture calls the Lord the God of all comfort. That means He draws near in hard places, in dark hours and difficult situations, to strengthen, to encourage and to comfort. He has seen His people through affliction and trial before, and He stands by them with His presence and love. For those who are going through sickness or sorrow, He is still that same comforter, lifting hearts out of discouragement and bringing peace. You can trust that He is with your mother now and with you as you wait and pray for her.

We also bring her need for healing to Jesus, because He is able to heal. The gospels show that He healed in many different ways. Sometimes He healed instantly with a touch or a word, sometimes the healing was gradual, and sometimes it came through the natural processes of healing that He Himself built into our bodies. Any true healing is from Him, whether it comes suddenly or step by step. There is no single pattern He must follow. What matters is coming to Him in faith and asking. Like the desperate mother who came to Jesus for her daughter and would not go away until she received help, we can come to Him with confidence and keep seeking Him for your mother.

Your care for your mother also honors God. The Bible commands us to honor our father and mother, and that honor includes caring for them when they are older or weak and providing for them as they once provided for us. Your prayer and attention to her is part of that obedience and love.

Let us pray together. Father, thank You that You are the God of all comfort. We lift this dear mother to You now. You see her body and You know how she is feeling. We ask for Your comforting presence to be near to her, to ease her distress and to give her peace. Lay Your healing hand upon her according to Your will, whether through a quick touch or through the gradual healing You have placed in the body, and give wisdom to those who care for her. Comfort her family as well, strengthen their faith, and help them to keep looking to Jesus, who bore our sicknesses and infirmities. We ask this in the name of Jesus, trusting Your love and mercy. Amen.

We will continue to pray for your mother and for you. Keep bringing her before the Lord directly, for He invites us to come to Him ourselves and He hears our prayers.
