Thank you for sharing this painful and heavy burden concerning your mother. Your concern for her and for others around you is understandable, and it is right to bring this before the Lord.
The Scripture shows us that spiritual opposition is real. There are evil spirits who are intelligent and active, and the enemy does seek to use people to bring harm and confusion. At the same time, emotional and behavioral struggles are also real, and often these things are intertwined. What is most important to remember is that Jesus Christ is greater, and where His presence and power truly enter, darkness cannot remain. Light and darkness cannot live together. Our hope is not in a special formula or in trying to force something to leave, but in asking for Jesus Himself to fill and rule a life. When He is welcomed in, what is dark must go.
You mentioned that your mother professes faith in Christ but holds to beliefs that are not true. That is a serious concern, because prayer itself rests on relationship. Jesus gave a pattern for prayer that begins with Our Father, and that relationship is only established through faith in Jesus alone for salvation. God hears the heart that comes humbly and says, God be merciful to me, a sinner, and through Jesus that person becomes His child. Apart from that relationship, prayer has no foundation. So the most loving thing to pray for your mother is that God would make His truth clear to her, draw her to genuine trust in Jesus alone, and correct what is false in her thinking. True deliverance and peace come from belonging to Him.
It also helps to remember what prayer is for. Prayer is not informing God of something He does not know, for your Father knows what you need before you ask. Prayer is not persuading a reluctant God or trying to get Him to do what we want. The purpose of prayer is to see God's will done. It begins with God. He makes His purposes and desires known to our hearts, and we then speak them back to Him. In that way prayer opens the door for God to do what He has long desired to do, without forcing or violating a person's will. The wisest prayer we can pray is, Lord, work out Your perfect will in this life, have Your way.
For that reason, pray for your mother not simply that difficult behavior would stop, but that God's will would be accomplished in her. Ask that Christ would enter more fully into her heart and mind, that His light would expose what is false and bring repentance, healing, and soundness. Ask that any influence of the enemy would be broken by His authority and power. Pray the same for others you are concerned about, that God would guard them and lead them into truth.

What matters is a heartfelt, earnest prayer from a righteous heart, because the earnest, heartfelt prayer of a person made righteous through Jesus is powerful and effective. Prayer is also worship, simply recognizing the greatness and goodness of God and trusting Him, and it often ends with praise as we rest in confidence that He has heard.
So continue to pray with persistence and faith. Bring your mother before the Lord daily, asking for His mercy, His truth, and His transforming presence in her life. Ask Him to protect you and others from being harmed or led astray, and to give you wisdom, love, and healthy boundaries as you relate to her. It is also wise to seek godly counsel from a pastor you trust and, where needed, help from qualified professionals who share a biblical perspective, so you are not carrying this alone.
