my daughter Sherri is sick. She is in a lot of pain only being held - somewhat -with many pills. Her diagnosis years ago is ulcer colitis. She doesn't appear to manage it well. I am afraid for her. This is the worse she has ever been. She hasn't eaten since Wednesday at lunch - a very few bites. Today is late Saturday night. She can't even keep jello down. Vomit and diarreha and nausious. She has spent much time in emergency but the doctors are treating the symptoms not the cause. We don't know what to do. (my spelling is bad)

I am so afraid as we don't know what to ask for from the doctor.

Precious Father,

Have mercy on Sherri. Help her Mom to figure out what to do for her. Lead her to a doctor or someone who will treat the problem instead of trying to mask the symptoms. Lord, help this Mom to stand firm and challenge the doctors if need be, for the sake of her daughter. Remove all fear and confusion and give her the words, help her to explain what is happening and demand better treatment or to find another doctor who can help. Ultimately Father, You are our Great Physician and Healer, and I pray You will touch Sherri now and begin the healing, according to Your will. Calm her and restore her ability to digest. In Jesus Name I ask this, Amen.

I don't know if you've ever considered alternative medicine but there's a Dr. Sherry Rogers that has written some very interesting books about healing the body and getting away from many widely used man-made pharmaceuticals (which can ultimately do more damage than the disease they are perscribed for) You can google her to find out more. I realize your present need is urgent, but long-term you may want to check out her books. I have no idea if she has treated the problem your daughter has. I know nothing about medicing myself! I've just found her writing very eye-opening. She does a radio call in show too.
