We lift up your dear mother before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to watch over her in this time of illness. The Bible tells us in Psalm 41:3, "Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness." We pray that God would strengthen her body, bring down her fever, and grant her peaceful rest through the night. May she sweat out the toxins and wake in the morning refreshed and restored, according to His will.
Father, we also pray for your protection over her as she is alone. You are the God who never slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:3-4), and we ask that You would be her comfort and her shield. Place Your angels around her to guard her from harm and fear. We ask that You would move upon your servant's heart—her son—to go to her and care for her tonight. Soften his heart, Lord, and remove any obstacles that may be preventing him from being by her side. May he be a source of comfort and practical help to her in this time of need.
We understand the burden you carry, being unwell yourself yet unable to be physically present. Remember the words of 2 Corinthians 12:9, where the Lord says, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." We pray that God would grant you strength and healing from this stomach virus so that you may recover quickly and be able to support your family as needed.
Lord, we also ask that You would give wisdom to those coordinating her care. Guide their decisions, calm their fears, and provide everything necessary for her well-being. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We rebuke this fever and any spirit of infirmity in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare healing over your mother’s body, trusting in the power of the Great Physician who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who alone is our mediator and advocate. There is no other name by which we can approach You, for Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We trust in the power of Jesus’ name to bring healing, comfort, and provision in this time of need.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
