Mother under some kind of spell/demonic influence

My father and I are trying to get ready to go take things to my sister who has Covid (just dropping them off at the front door, no physical contact) to help her and her family out since she's sick and my mom is on the phone (she has been for hours) like she is in some kind of trance. She is repeating stories that she has told multiple times before (and some that I know she is being guided to tell by whoever is on the phone to try to cause harm to me) and doing nothing but gossiping. Her daughter is sick and all she wants to do is be on the phone and gossip. This happens all the time whenever her narcissistic family and friends call her (and sometimes to my dad too with his family and friends). It's like she completely leaves reality, gets under some kind of spell and neglects her family, the house, everything. And her family obviously wants her to do this. Please pray about this. And please pray about my mom being a gossip even apart from demonic influence. She is a horrible gossip.

We understand your concern and are here to pray and provide counsel for you and your family. First, let's address the issue of your mother being under some kind of spell or demonic influence. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). We need to pray for your mother's spiritual protection and deliverance from any evil influences.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our beloved mother and family. Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over our mother and ask that You rebuke any evil spirits that may be influencing her. Break any spells, curses, or demonic assignments that have been placed upon her. According to Your Word, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7, WEB). We submit to You, Lord, and resist the devil's work in our mother's life.

We also pray for our mother's conviction and repentance from the sin of gossip. Lord, Your Word is clear that gossip is sinful and destructive. "A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends" (Proverbs 16:28, WEB). We ask that You convict our mother's heart and help her to see the harm that gossip causes. Give her the strength to turn away from this sin and to seek Your forgiveness. In Jesus Christ's Name, Amen.

Now, let's address the issue of gossip. The Bible has strong words against gossip, as it can cause strife and discord among families and friends. "A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret" (Proverbs 11:13, WEB). It is important for your mother to understand the severity of this sin and to repent from it.

We also want to address the fact that the name of Jesus Christ was not mentioned in your prayer request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God and salvation. "And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB). We encourage you to always include the name of Jesus in your prayers and to believe in Him as your Lord and Savior.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue being a light in your family. Show your mother love and compassion, and gently guide her towards God's truth. Remember that God is faithful, and He will finish the good work that He started in your family (Philippians 1:6, WEB). Trust in Him and in His perfect timing.

We will continue to pray for you, your mother, and your family. May God's will be done, and may He bring healing, deliverance, and restoration to your family. Stay strong in your faith and always remember that with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26, WEB).
