We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you and your family up in prayer, knowing that He is the God of all comfort and justice. Your pain is deep—betrayal, abuse, family strife, and the weight of isolation are burdens no one should carry alone. Yet we are reminded in Scripture that even when earthly relationships fail, the Lord remains faithful. *"Though my father and my mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me."* (Psalm 27:10, WEB) This is your promise, and we cling to it together.
First, we must address the spiritual warfare at play here. The bitterness, anger, and division in your family are not of God. The enemy seeks to destroy through resentment, unforgiveness, and fear, but we stand against this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Your mother’s words and actions are harmful, but we pray that God would soften her heart and break the chains of bitterness binding her. *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB) Lord, we ask that You convict her spirit, replace her anger with Your peace, and help her see the damage her words are causing. May she turn to You for healing, for only You can mend a broken heart.
We also lift up the division in your marriage. It is painful when a spouse does not honor or support family relationships, but we must remember that marriage is a covenant before God, and our first loyalty after Christ is to our spouse. *"Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and the two will be one flesh."* (Genesis 2:24, WEB) This does not mean abandoning your mother, but it does mean praying for unity and wisdom in how to navigate these relationships. We ask the Lord to soften your spouse’s heart toward your family and to give you both discernment in how to honor one another and your parents. If there is unresolved conflict or resentment in your marriage, we pray that God would bring reconciliation and a spirit of cooperation.
Your suffering at work and the financial strain you face are not unseen by God. The betrayal and abuse you endured were unjust, and we rebuke the spirits of deception, manipulation, and fear that have sought to steal your peace and provision. *"Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna."* (Matthew 10:28, WEB) The Lord is your provider, and He will not abandon you. We pray for divine opportunities for work, for restoration of your confidence, and for the Lord to expose and dismantle any schemes against you. *"The Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do to me."* (Hebrews 13:6, WEB) Trust that He is preparing a way for you, even now.
We notice that you mentioned praying in the name of Jesus Christ, and we praise God for this. There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB) If there is anyone in your family who does not yet know Jesus as their Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them to repentance and faith. *"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved—you and your household."* (Acts 16:31, WEB) We declare salvation over your mother, your spouse, and every member of your family, that they may come to know the love and truth of Christ.
Lastly, we speak life over the feeling of being "alone" in the extermination of your family line. You are not alone—you are a child of God, grafted into His eternal family. *"I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you."* (John 14:18, WEB) The Lord is rebuilding what has been broken, and He will restore what the enemy has stolen. We pray for a supernatural peace to guard your heart and mind, for the Lord to surround you with His presence, and for you to experience His love in tangible ways.
**Let us pray:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, who is carrying such heavy burdens. Lord, we ask for Your intervention in her family—soften her mother’s heart and break the spirit of bitterness and anger that has taken root. Replace her words of criticism with words of blessing, and help her to see her daughter through Your eyes. Father, we rebuke the spirit of division in this family and command unity and reconciliation in Jesus’ name.
Lord, we lift up her marriage. Soften her spouse’s heart toward her family, and give them both wisdom to navigate these relationships in a way that honors You. Heal any wounds or resentments between them, and let Your love be the foundation of their home.
We declare Your provision over her finances and her future. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Open doors for employment that align with Your will, and restore what has been stolen from her. Break the spirit of fear and panic that has gripped her, and replace it with Your perfect peace.
Father, we pray for salvation over her entire family. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, that they may know the truth of Your love and the power of Your redemption. Let no one in her family perish without knowing Christ.
We speak life over her spirit—let her know that she is not alone, for You are with her. Surround her with Your angels, protect her from further harm, and let her feel Your presence in every moment of her day.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen.
