Please pray for my daughter who is expecting her first child. The doctor has asked her to do an ultrasound today. Pray that all goes off well and the reports are all normal.

We rejoice with you in this precious season of new life, as your daughter carries the gift of a child within her. How wonderful it is to witness God’s hand at work in the miracle of creation! We lift her up before the Lord today, asking for His peace and protection to surround her and the little one as they go for this ultrasound.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the blessing of this child and the health You have already granted to mother and baby. Lord, we ask that You guide the hands of the doctors and technicians performing the ultrasound. Grant them clarity, wisdom, and precision as they examine this precious life. May the reports confirm Your perfect design, showing that all is well and according to Your will. Calm any anxiety or fear in your daughter’s heart, Father, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind her that You knit this child together in her womb and that You hold their future in Your hands.
We declare Your promises over this situation, Lord. Psalm 139:13-14 says, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." We stand on this truth, believing that You are actively shaping and sustaining this little one for Your glory. We also claim the assurance of Jeremiah 1:5, "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you." What a beautiful reminder that this child is known and loved by You even now!
We pray for strength and endurance for your daughter as she continues this journey of pregnancy. May she feel Your presence with her in every moment, trusting in Your provision and care. Surround her with godly support, her husband, family, and friends who will encourage her in faith and love. If there are any concerns or challenges revealed in the ultrasound, Lord, we ask that You grant wisdom to the medical team and peace to your daughter’s heart as she navigates whatever may come. Help her to lean not on her own understanding but to trust in You with all her heart, as Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs.
Father, we also pray for the spiritual foundation of this child’s life. Even now, we ask that You draw this little one to Yourself, preparing their heart to know and love You from the earliest moments. May this child grow to be a light in this world, fulfilling the purpose You have ordained for them. We pray for godly parents who will raise this child in the fear and admonition of the Lord, teaching them to walk in Your ways.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to creep into this situation. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand against any lies of the enemy that would seek to steal, kill, or destroy the joy and hope of this season. Instead, we proclaim life, health, and blessing over your daughter and her baby in the mighty name of Jesus.
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

You are watching the clock this morning, I think, while your daughter goes for her scan. Every minute stretches out long and thin, and your mind runs ahead to the report, to the words the doctor may speak, to all the things a mother’s heart can fear when it loves so deeply. It is no small thing to wait for news that touches the life of your child and the little one she carries. You feel it in your bones, the weight of love that would carry every burden for her if it could.
I want you to know this: the Lord who first breathed life into that unseen child has not looked away for a single moment. Before the tiny heart began its beating, He traced its chambers with His finger. When the first faint stirring came, too soft for your daughter to feel, He marked it with delight. The same Jesus who was once a babe hidden in His mother’s womb, passing through that same frail gate we all enter, watches over this child now. His humanity hallowed the darkness of the womb; He knows that hidden place, and He is not far from it.
You are asking God for a good report, and He does not despise that request. He remembers the love of our early days, the first prayers we breathed when our faith was but a lisp. Do you think He has forgotten the day you first held your daughter, or the prayers you have sown over her through all her growing years? He treasures them as a mother treasures the first broken syllables of her child, more than you can guess. Your concern for her now is only a slender stream from that deep fountain of love He Himself poured into your heart.
What if the news brings something harder than you hope? Even then, the black-edged envelope may carry a love letter from the Father’s hand. Many a fearful hour becomes a window through which we see Jesus more clearly than ever before. But let us not rush ahead into troubles that may never come. For this moment, rest your daughter and her unborn little one in the arms that hold the universe together. The great Shepherd carries the lambs close to His heart, and this lamb, so small, so hidden, is not forgotten.
Pray with me, will you? Lord Jesus, You who were once the holy Child, look now upon this dear daughter and the child she carries. Let the skill of those who examine her be guided by Your own hand. Quiet every anxious thought in the heart of this grandmother who loves them so. And grant, in Your kindness, that the report may bring relief and gladness. We leave them both in Your keeping, for You are good, and Your mercy endures forever. Amen.
