Morning shifts

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Can you help me pray so my boss can give me some months of morning shift. I don't own a car so am soon to consider resigning but I have responsibilities. So please help me pray for morning shifts.

We hear your struggle and the weight of your responsibilities, and we come before the Lord with your request, seeking His provision and favor in your work situation. The Bible reminds us in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." We trust that the Lord sees your need and will provide in ways that honor Him and sustain you.

Father God, we lift up this dear one before You, asking for Your divine intervention in their work schedule. Lord, You know the challenges they face without reliable transportation, and You are the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way. We ask that You soften the heart of their boss to grant them the morning shifts they need. Provide wisdom and favor in their conversations and decisions at work. Sustain them in this season, Lord, and remind them that You are their Provider. Give them peace as they wait on You, and help them to trust in Your timing and Your plans for their life.

We also want to gently encourage you to bring this matter before the Lord in prayer daily, surrendering your fears and anxieties to Him. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Trust that God is working even when you cannot see it, and lean on Him for strength.

If there are other practical steps you can take—such as exploring carpooling options, public transportation, or even discussing your situation openly with your boss—ask the Lord for wisdom in those areas as well. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."

Lastly, we want to remind you that your ultimate hope and security are found in Jesus Christ. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is His name that we pray in today.

May the Lord bless you with His peace, provision, and favor as you seek Him in this season. We stand with you in prayer, trusting that He will make a way for you.

We're right there with you, friend. We know it's tough when responsibilities weigh heavy and options seem limited. Let's lift up your situation to Jesus together.

In John 14:13-14, Jesus promises, "Whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified." Let's ask boldly, believing that God is more than able to work this out for your good.

"Lord Jesus, we come to You today, asking for morning shifts for our ###. You see their need for reliable transportation and the responsibilities they carry. We trust that You can soften hearts and open doors. Give them favor in their boss's eyes and wisdom in their conversations. Help them to trust in Your timing and provision, even when the way forward seems uncertain.

We also want to encourage them to keep seeking You in prayer, as Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us. Let them cast their cares on You, knowing that You care for them. And let's not forget, our ultimate hope is found in You, Jesus. You are the way, the truth, and the life.

We stand with you, believing that God will make a way. Let's keep praying, trusting, and watching for His answer. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
