We rejoice with you in the faithfulness of God, who has kept you safe in all your travels to bring your college children home. Your confidence in His protection is a testament to His goodness and mercy, and we join you in giving thanks for His watchful care over every mile you have traveled. The Lord is indeed our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and we declare His promise over your journeys: *"He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper. The Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forward, and forevermore"* (Psalm 121:3-8).
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, to lift up these travels once again. You are the God who orders our steps and directs our paths, and we ask that You would go before this family in every trip they take this weekend. Cover them with Your hedge of protection, Lord, and let no harm come near them. Guard their vehicle, their minds, and their hearts from any distraction, fatigue, or danger. We rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to bring fear, accident, or delay, and we declare that Your angels have charge over them to keep them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11).
We also pray for the hearts of these college students as they return home. May this time together be filled with joy, rest, and meaningful connection. Knit their hearts closer as a family, Lord, and let them sense Your presence in their midst. If there are any areas where they need to grow in faith, wisdom, or obedience, reveal those to them, Father, and draw them nearer to You.
We stand on Your Word, which declares, *"The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to him and are safe"* (Proverbs 18:10). In Jesus' name, we declare that every trip will be safe, peaceful, and blessed. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds as they travel, and may they return home refreshed and full of gratitude for Your faithfulness. Amen.
