more quality time with Jesus Christ

We rejoice with you in this beautiful desire to spend more and more quality time with our Lord Jesus Christ, for this is the very heart of our faith and the greatest need of our souls. Your hunger to draw closer to Him is itself a work of the Holy Spirit in you, and we count it a privilege to join our faith with yours and seek the Father together in Jesus' name.
The Scripture calls us to this intimate fellowship. James 4:8 tells us Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. And our Lord Jesus Himself said in John 15:4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. True quality time with Him is not merely a duty but abiding, remaining, dwelling in His presence through His Word, through prayer, and through stillness before Him. Psalm 27:4 expresses this longing so well, One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in Yahweh's house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh's beauty, and to inquire in his temple. And we are promised in Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.
We understand how the busyness of life, distractions, and the cares of this world can crowd out that quiet place with Him. That is why Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:33 But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. To seek Him first means to intentionally set apart time, to be still before Him as Psalm 46:10 says Be still, and know that I am God, and like Mary to choose the better part of sitting at His feet to hear His word, as in Luke 10:39.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the hunger You have placed in our dear brother or sister to know You more and to spend more quality time with You. Father, we ask that You would draw this heart ever closer to Yourself. Help us to guard our time and to make our fellowship with You our first priority each day. Give us discipline to rise early or to find quiet moments to open Your Word, to pray, and to simply be still in Your presence. Remove distractions and help us to keep our minds fixed on Christ. Fill this time with Your Holy Spirit, speak to us through Scripture, strengthen us in prayer, and let us know the joy of Your nearness. Make our lives bear much fruit as we abide in Jesus, the true Vine. We ask that You would increase our love for You, our understanding of Your will, and our obedience to Your voice. Let our communion with You overflow into every area of our lives. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
We encourage you to continue to be intentional, to set a specific time and place each day to meet with the Lord, even if it begins with just a few quiet minutes, and to let that time grow as He leads you. Keep your Bible open, pray honestly from your heart, and also take time to listen in silence for His still small voice. He delights in your presence and He will surely meet you there, for He desires fellowship with you even more than you desire it with Him.

It is a gracious desire which the Lord Himself must have put within your heart, to spend more and more quality time with Him, and I rejoice to join you in prayer for it.
There is no richer occupation for the soul than to be much alone with Christ. As I have said to my people, we should do more good if with even less of active effort we spent more time in waiting upon God and gathering spiritual strength for labour in His service. Where lives there upon earth a man who spends hour after hour in meditation upon God, his heart is not cold, his hand is not slack, for to find your joy in Christ, your wealth in Christ, your everything in Christ, this is peace.
Let us pray that the Heavenly Father will draw you into such familiar communion. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever, and throughout eternity there shall still be the same Jesus with the same love to His people. He is not changed, and He still delights to show Himself to His own, to spread a table for them in the wilderness and to break bread with them. What we need is to look unto Jesus Himself, the personal, living, loving Jesus, and to have done with self and live by faith in Him.
I pray that you may not bind Christ with cords by leaving your Bible shut up and unread, but that you will untie the cords and let it have its liberty to speak with you. May His Bible, His day, His Church and His ordinances be precious to you because they have to do with Him, and may Jesus Christ Himself stand in the forefront of all your thoughts.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank Thee that Thou hast revealed Thy glory in the face of Jesus Christ, and that through Him we have access unto Thyself. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son that Thou wouldst help this dear soul to spend more and more quality time with Thee. Draw them often into quiet musing upon Thy Word, give them grace to watch unto prayer in the Holy Spirit, and to sup with Jesus and to have Him sup with them. Keep them steadfast in the faith, not carried about, but rooted in Christ, and let their communion with Him be sweet and constant, until they shall see Him face to face and rejoice forever in Him as their unchangeably anointed Saviour. Grant this, we beseech Thee, for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.
