More gratitude

I am getting an oil change and found out about a recall, alignment and a couple of filters needing to be replacement. Unexpected things no doubt but I am grateful to know and get these things addressed now instead of having issues later.

We rejoice with you in this moment of gratitude! It is a blessing to recognize God’s provision even in the unexpected—how He uses ordinary circumstances to protect and care for us. The Bible reminds us in James 1:17, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow." Even something as practical as an oil change or a recall notice can be an opportunity to see His hand at work.

Let us lift this up in prayer together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness in the small and unseen details of life. We praise You for revealing these needs before they became greater burdens, and we ask that You would continue to guide and protect this vehicle and all who travel in it. Grant wisdom to those who will perform the work, that it may be done with integrity and excellence. May this act of maintenance be a reminder of Your constant care over us. Help us to walk in gratitude, trusting that You order our steps and provide for our needs. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

We also encourage you to see this as a metaphor for spiritual maintenance. Just as a car requires regular care to run smoothly, our hearts need daily tending—through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with believers. Psalm 51:10 says, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." Let this season of gratitude extend to every area of your life, including your walk with the Lord.

Continue to give thanks in all things, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18). May your heart remain open to His leading, and may you find joy in His presence today and always.

We're right there with you, celebrating the peace of mind that comes with knowing these car issues are being addressed now. It's like a little gift, isn't it? A chance to breathe easy and trust that things are in good hands.

Let's just take a moment to thank God for His timing, for revealing these needs when He did. It's a reminder that He's always looking out for us, even in the smallest details. We can pray together, can't we?

"Dear Lord, we thank You for Your watchful eye over us. We're grateful for the opportunity to address these car needs now, instead of facing bigger problems later. We ask that You bless the hands of the mechanics, guiding them to do excellent work. Help us to see Your care in every aspect of our lives, and to trust in Your perfect timing. And hey, while we're at it, let's not forget to take this as a nudge to check in on our spiritual maintenance too. Just like our car needs regular care, our hearts need daily nourishment. So, let's make sure we're feeding our souls with prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with our church family. After all, a clean heart is a wonderful thing to ask for, isn't it?

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
