More and more harvest workers for the JESUS city

Shalom! The Lord said “The harvest is plentiful, but there are not enough workers. Pray to the Lord of the harvest and ask him to send more workers to bring in the harvest.” (Mt 9:37-38). Can you please pray for, that God send to our evangelism group more and more harvest workers and worshippers and protects us from black sheeps in Jesus name?

We rejoice with you in the Lord’s call to gather His harvest! The fields are indeed white, and the need for laborers is great. Jesus Himself instructed us to pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers (Matthew 9:37-38), and we stand with you in this urgent plea. Your heart for evangelism and worship is a reflection of God’s own heart, and we join you in seeking His will for your ministry.

Father in Heaven, we come before You as Your humble servants, lifting up this evangelism group to You. Lord of the harvest, we ask that You raise up more workers, men and women filled with Your Spirit, bold in faith, and unwavering in their commitment to proclaim the Gospel. Send laborers who will walk in integrity, love, and truth, that Your name may be glorified in every word and deed. We pray for an outpouring of worshippers who will exalt You with pure hearts, leading others to know You as Savior and Lord.

Protect this group, O God, from those who might seek to divide, distract, or deceive. Guard their hearts and minds from the schemes of the enemy, and let no "black sheep" hinder the work You have called them to. Expose any who would bring harm or false teaching, and grant wisdom to the leaders to discern Your will in all things. May this ministry be a beacon of light, drawing many to salvation and equipping them to serve You faithfully.

We also pray for unity among the workers, may they be of one mind and one spirit, bound together in love and purpose. Strengthen them in times of weariness, encourage them in moments of doubt, and fill them with fresh fire to press forward in the mission You have given them. May their lives reflect the transforming power of the Gospel, so that others may see Christ in them and be drawn to Him.

Lord, we acknowledge that apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). So we surrender this ministry into Your hands, trusting that You will accomplish Your purposes through it. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this city and beyond, as workers go forth in the authority of Jesus’ name. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord’s guidance in all things, dear brothers and sisters. Remember that the harvest is not just about numbers, but about souls being reconciled to God. Stay rooted in prayer, grounded in Scripture, and obedient to the Holy Spirit’s leading. The enemy may seek to discourage or distract, but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Press on with faith, knowing that your labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Shalom! We’re so glad you shared this with us. Your heart for the harvest and your desire for more workers and genuine worshipers is a beautiful echo of the Lord’s own concern. We’re standing with you as you seek His provision and protection.

It’s encouraging to see you not only praying but also actively gathered as an evangelism group. Sometimes we think of harvest workers as people who will appear from outside, but often the Lord raises them up from within your own circle, maybe quiet intercessors who just need an invitation to step out, or new believers with fresh zeal. As you keep praying, consider intentionally inviting a few people from your church or community to join you for a short-term outreach or a prayer walk. Simple, faithful steps like that often uncover hidden gifts and build the team naturally.

As for the “black sheep,” we understand your concern. Not everyone who comes close to the work has good motives. Alongside praying for protection, it’s wise to ask the Lord for the spiritual discernment to test what is genuine and to spot what is not. This doesn’t mean becoming suspicious of everyone, but it does mean moving slowly in giving responsibility, and keeping your group’s life anchored in prayer, Scripture, and honest relationships with one another. When you walk closely with Jesus together, unhealthy patterns or self-serving agendas become clearer over time.

Lord Jesus, you are the Lord of the harvest. We ask you to send more workers into this evangelism group, people full of your Spirit, who love you and long for others to know you. Protect them from those who would bring harm or deception. Give the leaders wisdom, unity, and discerning hearts as they welcome new people and guard the flock. May their labor bear lasting fruit for your glory. Amen.

The Lord’s word is clear: “Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” That prayer is not a mere suggestion but a command, and you do well to lift it up. Yet while you plead for reapers, remember that the joy of harvest carries a solemn weight. The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few, and the need is urgent, a matter of now or never. When the Lord sends workers, they will come, but you must also take heed.

I would echo the apostle: “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.” It is no small thing to ask for worshippers and fellow-labourers; pray also that they be genuine, lest the tares sprout among the wheat. The Lord of the harvest knows those who are his, and he will thrust out true labourers into his harvest. As you watch for them, do not grow discouraged if you first meet those who cannot be the object of joyful confidence but only of loving pity. The harvest is not yours but his, and he will protect his own field.

Expect the joy of harvest, it is a joy you have a right to expect, but walk with eyes open, testing spirits, lest any should prove to be as those who sold their brother into Egypt and were troubled at his presence when mercy was revealed. Pray, then, with boldness, but also with holy caution, that the God who calls the harvest workers will shield your fellowship from every false heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The prayer you lift up is fitting, for the Lord Himself commanded us to beseech the Master of the harvest to thrust forth laborers. And you do well to seek not merely more hands, but true worshippers, those whose names are written in the book of life. For many walk among us in sheep’s clothing who are inwardly ravening wolves, deceitful workers who do work indeed but pull up what has been planted. They fashion themselves into apostles of Christ, yet if they do not bring in another gospel, but wear the mask of truth, still they scatter the flock. Therefore when you pray for workers, pray also for discernment, that the Shepherd would make plain the difference between the sheep and the wolves, so that the flock be not torn.

Yet do not fear the presence of wolves overmuch, and do not let your zeal turn you into wolves yourselves to drive them out. For so long as we remain sheep, we conquer: though ten thousand wolves prowl around, we overcome and prevail. But if we become wolves, we are worsted, for the help of our Shepherd departs; He feeds not wolves, but sheep, and He forsakes the one who takes up the wolf’s nature. Even when sent into the midst of wolves, the Lord bids us exhibit the gentleness of sheep and the harmlessness of doves. This is the unwonted battle array, that sheep should get the better of wolves, not by killing, but by altering their spirit and reforming their mind. This proclaims His invincible might far more than if He made us more formidable than lions.

So pray boldly, and trust that the Lord of the harvest will send genuine fellow-workers: men and women who labor in the Gospel, who are a comfort to the faithful as fellow-prisoners and fellow-soldiers, whose toil is not for money but for the kingdom. Protect your fellowship from black sheep not by taking up the weapons of the world, but by displaying the gentleness in which Christ’s power is perfected. For when sheep endure a thousand bites and yet are not consumed, the wolves themselves are put to shame, and the name of the Lord is glorified. He who sends you forth does not abandon His flock; He watches over the laborers and the harvest alike.

The harvest truly is vast, and I am glad you are sending up this cry for more laborers. Our Lord’s own heart was moved when he looked on the crowds and told us to pray to the Lord of the harvest to thrust out workers. I am joining you in that prayer right now, asking him to raise up many whose feet are shod with the gospel of peace and whose hearts beat with his own.

As you pray for more hands, remember the kind of workers you are asking for. Not all who go out are true shepherds. The good shepherd enters by the door, and the door is Jesus himself. He is the one who lies across the opening of the fold at night, and no wolf can get through except it cross over him. He has given his life for the sheep. A hireling, however, sees trouble coming and flees because the sheep are not his own, and he does not truly care for them. So pray specifically that the Lord would send laborers after his own heart, men and women who love the flock and will not run when things grow hard. Those are the ones who can be trusted to stand between the lambs and any spiritual predator.

You also asked for protection from “black sheep.” That longing is right. The shepherd knows his own sheep by name, and his own sheep hear his voice. A stranger they will simply not follow; they will flee from him because they do not recognize the voice of a stranger. The Lord himself keeps the flock. Trust that he is able to expose what is false and to safeguard the genuine. He sees every heart, and his sheep know the sound of his truth. As you stay close to him and teach those in your group to recognize his voice through the Scriptures and a life of prayer, they will develop that instinct to turn away from what is counterfeit. The real protection does not come from you frantically patrolling the perimeter, but from the Shepherd who sleeps across the entrance.

As you labor in gathering souls, let a gentle caution settle in your heart as well. It is possible to be so consumed with the act of evangelism that we never lead people beyond the threshold into the deep pasture of knowing Christ. Jesus told Peter, “Feed my sheep,” not merely to gather them. True workers do not just bring someone into the fold and then leave them unfed. The harvest is not only about the initial cutting of the stalk but about gathering grain into the barn and nourishing it. Be deliberate to help those who come worship and serve with you to grow up into the fullness of life in Christ. Otherwise, the work can become a weary cycle of activity rather than a joy. When service flows from a genuine desire to honor the Lord, it becomes a delight and not a burden. Those serving from that overflow will not easily burn out.

So keep praying, and do not fear. The great Shepherd of the sheep will not fail his own. He himself will search for his sheep and seek them out. The weight of the harvest and the safety of the flock rests ultimately on his shoulders, not yours. Rest in that, and may he fill your group with faithful laborers and true worshippers who know his voice and follow where he leads.
