Month of February and March hotel business slow.

Disciple of Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ yesterday I received an email and what'sapp message from the President of the hotel. He is very concerned and sent an alarming statement to me due to embarrassing room occupancy and revenue we are achieving. Past few days my hotel only occupied 7 rooms compared to neighbouring hotels doing very well. I have no clue what to do and I don't understand why it always happens to me each property I work. I couldn't find joy coming to work. Pressure seeking for revenue. I love my profession but I love you more, Jesus Christ. Everything I do and achievement is for my Lord Jesus Christ. I am not seeking fame, I only seek peace with God. Daily I am battling with this war zone. Finding my way to succeed through you, Lord Jesus Christ. I only depend on you to show me the path. Amen. Bless me, Father, to face my president and table my action plan. Amen.

We hear your heart, dear brother in Christ, and we stand with you in this season of challenge and uncertainty. Your love for the Lord is evident, and we rejoice that you seek first His kingdom and His righteousness in all things, including your profession. The pressure you feel is real, but we know that God is not a God of confusion, nor is He unaware of your circumstances. Let us turn to Him together, trusting that He will direct your steps and provide wisdom for the path ahead.

First, we want to affirm your dependence on Jesus Christ. You have rightly acknowledged Him as the source of your strength and the One who orders your steps. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." This is not just a promise for spiritual matters but for every area of our lives, including our work. The Lord cares about the details of your profession because He has placed you there for a purpose. Your desire to honor Him in your work is pleasing to Him, and He will not abandon you in this trial.

We also want to encourage you with the truth that God is your provider. The struggles you face in your hotel business are not beyond His ability to intervene. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This is not a promise of worldly success as the world defines it, but a promise that God will meet your needs according to His perfect will and timing. It may be that He is using this season to refine your faith, to teach you to rely on Him more fully, or to prepare you for something greater. Whatever His purpose, we can trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

The discouragement you feel is understandable, but we must guard our hearts against despair. The enemy would love to use this situation to steal your joy and cause you to doubt God’s faithfulness. However, we are reminded in Nehemiah 8:10 that "the joy of Yahweh is your strength." Even in the midst of difficulty, we can choose to rejoice in the Lord, knowing that He is our strength and our shield. Your joy is not found in the success of your business but in your relationship with Christ. When you feel overwhelmed, turn to Him in prayer and worship, and allow His peace to guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:6-7).

We also want to address the practical side of your situation. It is clear that you are seeking God’s guidance for an action plan to present to your president. We believe that God will give you wisdom if you ask Him. James 1:5 says, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Spend time in prayer and in the Word, asking the Lord to reveal specific steps you can take to address the challenges your hotel is facing. It may be helpful to seek counsel from other believers in the industry or to research best practices for increasing occupancy and revenue. God can use your diligence and creativity to bring about solutions that honor Him.

We must also rebuke the spirit of comparison that can creep into our hearts. You mentioned that neighboring hotels are doing well while yours is struggling. It is easy to fall into the trap of comparing ourselves to others, but Scripture warns us against this. In 2 Corinthians 10:12, Paul writes, "For we are not bold to number or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves. But they themselves, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves with themselves, are without understanding." Each of us has our own journey and our own battles. Instead of comparing, focus on the unique calling God has placed on your life and trust that He is working in your situation, even if it looks different from others.

Let us also address the spiritual warfare you mentioned. You described your workplace as a "war zone," and we believe this is an accurate description. The enemy does not want you to succeed in honoring God in your profession, and he will use every tactic to discourage and distract you. However, we are not ignorant of his schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11). We must put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand firm in our faith. This includes praying without ceasing, meditating on God’s Word, and surrounding ourselves with fellow believers who can encourage and support us. Do not face this battle alone—lean on your brothers and sisters in Christ and allow them to stand with you in prayer.

We also want to encourage you to find rest in the Lord. The pressure to perform and the fear of failure can be exhausting, but Jesus invites us to come to Him when we are weary and heavy-laden, and He will give us rest (Matthew 11:28). Take time to rest in His presence, to cast your cares upon Him, and to remember that your worth is not defined by your success in your profession. You are a child of God, deeply loved and valued by Him, regardless of the outcome of your work.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother who is facing a challenging season in his profession. Lord, we thank You that he loves You and seeks to honor You in all that he does. We ask that You would strengthen him in this time of pressure and uncertainty. Give him wisdom, Father, as he seeks to develop an action plan for his hotel. Reveal to him the steps he needs to take, and give him favor with his president and colleagues.

Lord, we ask that You would increase the occupancy and revenue of his hotel. We know that You are able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine, and we trust that You have a plan for this business. Help our brother to see this situation through Your eyes, and give him peace that surpasses all understanding.

We rebuke the spirit of discouragement and comparison in the name of Jesus. We declare that our brother will not be overwhelmed by this trial but will rise above it with faith and confidence in You. Surround him with Your presence, Lord, and fill him with Your joy. Remind him daily that his worth is found in You alone, and that You are working all things together for his good.

We also pray for protection over his heart and mind. Guard him against the lies of the enemy, and help him to stand firm in his faith. Give him the strength to resist the temptation to despair, and fill him with hope as he trusts in You.

Father, we ask that You would bless our brother with divine connections and opportunities. Open doors that no one can shut, and provide the resources and support he needs to succeed. Help him to see Your hand at work in every detail of his life and his work.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation. May our brother’s faith and dependence on You be a testimony to those around him. Use this season to draw him closer to You and to deepen his trust in Your provision.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Brother, we want to leave you with this encouragement from Isaiah 41:10: "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is with you, and He will uphold you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He will lead you through this season. We are standing with you in prayer, believing that God will move mightily on your behalf.

Dear friend, we're right there with you, feeling the weight of the situation you're facing at your hotel. It's tough, we know, but remember, God is right there with you, every step of the way. Let's turn to Him together, trusting that He has a plan and a purpose in all this.

First off, let's claim that promise in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
