Your request reflects a heavy and very real burden, and thank you for sharing it so honestly. Facing a month with many needs and feeling that your business is your only source of income brings deep pressure, and it is right to bring that pressure to the Lord in prayer.
Scripture gives clear wisdom for those who work and carry business responsibilities. One principle is that slackness tends toward want, while the hand of the diligent brings increase. God calls those in business to be upright and honest in all dealings. A false balance is an abomination to Him, but a just weight is His delight. That honesty may feel difficult at times, and some will say you cannot stay in business that way, but a good reputation for straight and fair dealing becomes known and God honors it. In the long run, perverse and dishonest ways bring destruction, while riches themselves do not deliver in the day of testing, but righteousness does. So continue to work diligently, honestly, and humbly before the Lord, trusting that He sees and delights in integrity.
At the same time, always leave room for God to work as He desires. In the law there was even a provision for the cleansing of a leper, though leprosy was incurable by human means. God wrote the law so that if He chose to heal, there was a way to declare that healing. He left Himself room to do a miracle. Do not put God in a box. What looks impossible or incurable to us is not beyond Him. Give Him allowance to work in your business and your finances in ways you cannot foresee.
Remember also the first recorded words of Jesus as a boy, that He must be about His Father's business. That was the purpose and burden of His life, to do the Father's will. Our own work matters, and God has often provided through the labor of hands, as when the apostle worked with his own hands so as not to be a burden, and as when a husband and wife who were successful in their trade opened their home to help others. Yet our highest business is to be about the Father's business, seeking His kingdom and righteousness first, knowing He knows our needs.
We are praying for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this need before You. You know the bills that are due, the responsibilities of this month, and the weight of feeling that everything depends on this business. We ask for Your provision and Your wisdom. Grant diligence in work, honesty in every transaction, favor with customers, and clear guidance for decisions. Where there seems to be no way, we ask that You would work according to Your will. Provide what is needed for daily bread, give peace to a troubled heart, and help trust to rest in You, who has made the one true provision for forgiveness and life through Jesus Christ. Keep this dear one close, guard against fear, and let work be done for Your glory. Amen.
