Beloved of All
It was painful to read what you went through and how suddenly the money you had set aside was taken. To watch the account empty and to feel the weight of needing to care for your pets right away is distressing, and it is understandable that it would feel overwhelming and even like an attack.
In those moments it is easy to feel as the disciples did in the storm when the waves were filling the boat and Jesus seemed to be asleep. They cried out that He did not care if they drowned. Yet He was with them in the boat, He knew exactly what was happening, and because He was on board they were not going to sink. The Lord knows what you are facing right now and He does care, even when circumstances make it feel otherwise. Faith is learning to trust His presence and His care when fear says you will not make it through.
Scripture shows that God leaves room for Himself to work even where we see no way. In Leviticus God gave a law for the leper in the day of his cleansing, though leprosy was considered incurable in that day. By giving instructions for what to do when a leper was cleansed, God made provision for His own power to heal what man could not heal. He built into the law itself a place for a miracle. In the same way He has made provision to cleanse the incurable disease of sin through Jesus, and He still leaves room to work in situations that look impossible to us. A financial loss that feels final is not beyond Him.
You also see His care in the story of the widow at Zarephath. She had only a little meal and oil left, yet when she put the Lord and His word first, He took care of her daily needs. The jar of meal did not run out and the jug of oil did not fail. Jesus teaches the same principle, to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and to trust Him to care for the other things. Putting Him first does not mean the problems disappear, but it puts life in the right order and opens your heart to trust His provision one day at a time.
I will pray for you and for your pets. I pray the Lord will provide what they need right now and give you wisdom for the financial pressures you are under. I pray He will give you peace that quiets fear, clear direction for dealing with the companies and the debts, and help from the right people and resources near you. I pray He will remind you that He sees you, that you are not forgotten, and that He is able to work even when the need feels urgent and the resources are gone.
