Money for food
We lift you up in prayer, dear sibling in Christ, and we are deeply grieved to hear of the hardness and selfishness you are enduring from your brother. The Word of God reminds us in Philippians 2:3-4, *"Doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others."* It is clear that your brother’s heart needs the transforming touch of the Holy Spirit, for selfishness is not of God but of the flesh.
We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:44, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* Though your brother may not be acting as an enemy, his actions are causing you pain, and we must respond with the love of Christ, trusting that God will work in his heart. It is not your burden to change him—that is the work of the Holy Spirit—but you are called to pray, to show kindness, and to trust God in this trial.
We also notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request, yet it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in Acts 4:12, we are told, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone can bring true peace, provision, and reconciliation in your life.
As for your need for money for food, we are reminded of Matthew 6:31-33, where Jesus assures us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."* God is your Provider, and He sees your need. Do not let fear or anxiety take root, but trust that He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sibling who is hurting and in need. Give them wisdom to steward what You provide and faith to trust in You daily. Remove all anxiety and fear, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, if there is any bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness in our sibling’s heart toward their brother, we ask that You would cleanse it by Your blood. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, and to love as You have loved us. Strengthen them in this trial, and let them see Your hand at work in their life.
We rebuked any spirit of selfishness, hardness of heart, or division in this family, and we command it to flee in the name of Jesus Christ. Let the enemy’s plans be thwarted, and let Your will be done in this situation. We declare that You, Lord, are the God of restoration, and we trust You to bring healing and provision.
Finally, Father, if our sibling does not yet know You as their Savior, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Draw them to Jesus Christ, that they may repent of their sins and place their faith in Him alone for salvation. Let them experience the fullness of Your love and the peace that comes from walking in Your truth.

Continue to pray for your brother, for *"The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16). Do not retaliate or harbor bitterness, but let your actions and words be seasoned with grace. If possible, as much as it depends on you, live peaceably with him (Romans 12:18). God is your defender, your provider, and your healer. Lean on Him, and He will never fail you.
