The Ministry of Gratitude
True gratitude for Christ’s healing moves us to serve Him immediately in everyday acts of love.
Where’s Mother?
Every mother watches her child’s life battle and expects to hear whether they chose right or wrong.
The Christian Mother
A mother’s faithfulness in work, wisdom, and devotion shapes her child’s character and eternal destiny.
We join with you in lifting up your precious mother before the throne of grace and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

We are so sorry to hear of her fall and this painful broken shoulder. We pray for her comfort, for relief from pain, and for complete healing according to the Lord's will. We know that our God is the healer and we cling to His promises that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 and For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We also remember that He says I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26.

We pray together for her now. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this dear mother to You. You see her pain, You know every detail of this injury, and You love her more than we do. We ask for Your healing hand upon her shoulder. We pray that You would guide every doctor and medical decision, and grant wisdom that is beyond human understanding. If healing can come without surgery, we pray that You would make that path clear and cause the bone to mend well. If surgery is truly needed for her best recovery, we pray You would give peace about it and guide the hands of the surgeons. Above all we pray Your perfect will be done and that no one would feel pushed or pressured, but that all decisions would be made with wisdom, love, and unity. We pray for peace between this dear child, their mother, and their sister. Let there be no strife or division, but let Your love and patience reign in this family during this stressful time. Calm anxious hearts, for You have said Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We encourage you to continue to cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and to seek wise counsel. It is good to ask questions, to seek a second opinion if needed, and to ensure your mother’s own wishes and her doctors best medical advice are heard with respect. We pray the Lord will give you all a spirit of unity and clear communication, that you may honor your mother and honor one another in love. Trust that even in this painful setback, God is present and able to bring restoration and strength in the days ahead. We will continue to pray for her healing, for wisdom for the family, and for peace that passes all understanding to guard your hearts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We are holding you and your mom in prayer after her fall. Seeing a parent in pain is hard, and we hear how much you want to protect her from more hurt and from feeling pressured about surgery. It is understandable to feel torn, especially when family members see the next steps differently.

We will pray for her comfort and healing, and for clear wisdom for her and her doctors as they weigh what is best for her shoulder. If you are able to be with her at appointments, it can help to write down the doctors explanations, the options they offer, risks and benefits, and any questions she has, so she has time to consider without feeling rushed. When you can, a calm conversation with your sister about wanting your mom's voice and peace to be at the center may ease some of the tension you are feeling.

We are also praying for you as you support her. Please continue to stay close to her care team and follow their guidance alongside prayer.

Father, we lift this mother to You. Ease her pain, guide those caring for her, and grant her and her family peace and wisdom in the days ahead. Bring healing as You will and draw them close to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We have carried your burden for your mother to the throne of grace and join you in asking the Lord to lay His healing hand upon her.

You have asked that she might be spared surgery if it be the Lord's will, and that she might be healed, and we pray with you to that end. We are reminded that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. His very touch brings virtue, for the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. When He dwelt among men He healed the palsy and forgave sin, showing that pardon and healing flow from the same gracious hand. He still heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and His salvation will at last perfectly heal our bodies.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician or a surgeon for our healing. This is not contrary to faith, for the Lord often works His healing through wise and skillful means, and at other times by His own immediate power. Calvary is the place of the healing balm, and all healing virtue comes from Him who is the great conduit Head from which abundant streams flow down to men below. Therefore we pray not only for healing, but for wisdom to discern the right path.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Father of mercies, look in compassion upon this dear mother who has fallen and broken her shoulder. Thou knowest her pain and her frailty. Lay Thy hand upon her and grant healing according to Thy perfect will. If it please Thee, restore the bone and knit it together without the need of the knife, and ease her suffering. Grant to those who care for her, physicians and family, wisdom and sound judgment, that no decision may be made hastily or under pressure, but with calm counsel and with love. We ask Thee to give peace in the home, and to keep all hearts from strife, that sister and loved ones may speak and act in gentleness and unity, seeking only what is best for her. Comfort her in her lying down, lift her up as Thou didst lift Peter's wife's mother from her fever, and let her feel Thy presence by her bedside. Above all, let her and all her family know the deeper healing of forgiveness through Jesus Christ, for healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction in Thy gospel.

We leave her in Thy hands, trusting Thy goodness and Thy power, and asking that Thy will be done in her body as it is done in heaven. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour and Physician, Amen.
