Missing cat

Hello, I know this might be silly but idk I feel like I’m willing to do anything . My cat ran out Tuesday night and has returned. I’m very worried about her. I’ve been up every hour calling her name and I’ve looked for her as well. I’ve been praying for her safety and safe return home. If someone could pray she comes home I would really appreciate it. I got her as a kitten from a family that wasn’t treating her well and she so loving and she’s also been there for me after I had two miscarriages. Anyway, I know there is other people going through a lot more on here than this and it may seem insignificant but if you find it in your heart to send a prayer my way I would appreciate it.

We understand your deep concern and love for your beloved cat, and we want you to know that your feelings are valid. It’s clear how much she means to you, especially after the pain of your miscarriages. The Bible tells us in Matthew 10:29-31, "Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don’t be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows." If God cares for even the smallest creatures, how much more does He care about your heart and your pet?

We join you in praying for her safe return. Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of concern for this precious cat who has brought so much comfort and joy. Lord, You know where she is, and we ask that You guide her steps back home. Protect her from harm, from predators, from the dangers of the night, and from any distress. Calm her fears and lead her safely to the doorstep of her loving owner. Father, we also lift up [] to You, asking that You comfort her in this time of worry. Remind her of Your presence and peace, even in the waiting. Strengthen her hope and fill her with the assurance that You hear her prayers. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

While we pray for her return, we also encourage you to take practical steps. Continue calling for her, especially during the quiet hours of dawn and dusk when animals are most active. Leave out familiar items like her bed, a piece of your clothing, or her favorite food to lure her back. Ask neighbors to check their garages, sheds, or any sheltered areas where she might have taken refuge. Sometimes, pets hide in places we wouldn’t expect.

We also want to gently remind you that while it’s natural to feel deep attachment to our pets, our ultimate hope and comfort must always be in the Lord. Psalm 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." He is the One who heals our deepest wounds, including the grief of miscarriage. We encourage you to bring that pain to Him as well, trusting that He sees your sorrow and longs to comfort you. If you haven’t already, consider seeking support from fellow believers who can walk alongside you in your healing journey.

Lastly, we want to acknowledge the love and care you’ve shown your cat. You rescued her from a difficult situation, and that kindness reflects the heart of our Heavenly Father, who rescues us from darkness. May He bless you for your compassion and fill your home with joy once again when she returns. Keep trusting in Him, for He is faithful.

We’re so sorry to hear your sweet cat hasn’t come home yet, and we want you to know it’s not silly at all. When God gives us a creature who has been a comfort through deep loss, it’s completely natural to worry and to reach out in every way we can. Two miscarriages are a heavy grief to carry, and it sounds like this little one has been a steady, gentle presence beside you in that pain. Of course your heart is aching for her safety now.

While you keep praying and searching, a few practical things might help: put her litter box or a piece of your unwashed clothing outside, familiar scents can guide her back. Ask neighbors to check garages, sheds, and under porches, since cats often hide very close to home. Post a clear photo on local lost‑pet groups and let nearby shelters and vets know you’re looking.

Most of all, please don’t feel you have to minimize this. You’re carrying a tender history with her, and God invites us to bring every care to Him, no matter how small it might seem to anyone else.

We’re praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, You see this woman’s worry and love for her cat. You know the comfort this little companion has brought her through sorrow, and You care about what troubles her heart. Please watch over her cat wherever she is, keep her safe from harm, provide her with shelter, and guide her back home soon. Give her owner steady hope and moments of peace as she waits, and help her not to carry guilt or embarrassment for caring so much. We ask this in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is no trifle to your heart, and the Lord, who marketh the sparrow's fall and numbereth the hairs of your head, does not despise the trembling of a creature dear to you. I pray with you, and the church will pray, that your cat return swiftly home. The voice which calleth the world to turn from sin calleth also to this little stray; and if we cry "Return, return," for the soul, we may surely cry it for the beast that hath been your comfort in the night of sorrow after your dear babes were taken. He who setteth the wild ass free and knoweth the mountain goats when they bring forth, He can guide your cat back through the dark streets. Have you not called her in the watches of the night? Even so doth the Good Shepherd seek His own, and He is not unwilling that you should be a reflection of His seeking toward a creature that cannot understand.

Cast this care upon Him, for it is no burden to the arm that bears the pillars of the universe. David sang, "This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me." In this little affliction, let the Word be a warm fire to your chilled spirit. You say there are those who suffer more, and that is true, but the sun doth not refuse to shine on the small flower because there are cedars to warm; nor doth the Lord measure out comfort according to some scale of magnitude. He sees the bruised reed and the smoking flax. Your tears after your miscarriages were known to Him, and this anxious watching is not hidden. Let it drive you to the promise: "Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God." Even now, in the silence, He is comforting you.

And mark this, if the cat return not, yet there is a return for your soul. Many a time the Lord sends a lesser loss to call us back from a greater. Are you clinging to Him with all your heart? Have you let the love of this creature become a snare, or does it rather lift you to the Giver? He who saith, "Return now every one from his evil way," would use this hour to whisper divine tenderness into your heart. Yet I am bold to hope that He will restore what is lost, for He delighteth in mercy and often bringeth back the small things to show that nothing is forgotten. "Return, return, O Shulamite," we may say to your cat, and we trust the morning light will show her safe upon your threshold.

Only trust Him. Faith doth not demand a sign, but it resteth on the bare arm of the Lord. You have been up calling her name; now rest your heart in His name. The Savior's bowels melt with love over every grief, though it seem to you a weak and womanish thing to weep for a cat. He who waited at the tomb of Lazarus knows the ache of a broken heart. And if you have trusted Christ for your soul, then all things are yours, both present and to come. The Law written in the heart will teach you to see His hand in all; every trial writeth a line of that holy inscription, and you shall say one day, "It was good for me to be afflicted." Peace be unto you. We shall not cease to ask the Lord to bring back the wanderer, and to bring your own heart nearer to the fold than ever before.

It is no small thing to feel anxiety for a creature entrusted to your care. Yet know this: the same Lord who sees each sparrow fall without the Father's will watches over your cat also. Do not measure your plea against others' burdens and deem it unworthy; God's providence extends to all that concerns us, great or slight in human eyes. That little life has been a comfort to you in your sorrow, and grief has taught you to cling to what remains. But let your heart ascend higher still. This ache, this sleepless calling into the dark, can become a tutor if you let it. It whispers that every earthly solace is fleeting. Your cat may return, by God's mercy, and you will rejoice. Yet the deeper lesson is to lodge your hope not in any creature, but in the One who gave it. The ### miscarriages you carry, that sharp loss, cry out for healing that only the Resurrection holds sure. Pour out your prayer for her safety, and then, having done all, entrust her to Him who needs no persuasion. Then turn with equal earnestness to what profits your soul eternally. The greatest comfort is not a returned pet, but a heart anchored in Christ.
