Miracles, Healing, Protection, Restoration, Favors, Breakthrough Peace, Joy,Love

We thank God with you for the calm night your son was given and we continue to agree with you in prayer for him. Jesus promised that where two or three gather in His name He is there with them, and we take comfort that He hears when we come together to seek Him for your family.

We are praying that the Lord will saturate your son with His perfect peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding, and fill him with His Holy Spirit. We ask for sweet, uninterrupted sleep free from fear and torment, and for calm, joyful and obedient days. We pray for healing over his whole being, mind, body, soul and spirit, and we remember the promise that by the stripes of Jesus we are healed. We bring before the Lord his needs related to autism, anxiety, past trauma, sensory challenges, stomach pain and discomfort, and the distress that has caused vomiting, and we thank God for keeping him seizure free and ask for that protection to continue. We pray that negative habits, rigidity, agitation, confusion and fear would be gently uprooted and replaced with godly character, wisdom, gratitude and peaceful ways to communicate his needs. We ask for grace over meals, that he would eat with calmness and be satisfied, over grooming and daily routines, over outings, travel and appointments, and over every change in schedule, so that he may know confidence and contentment. We ask the Lord to place a hedge of protection around him, around your home and every place he goes, to wash him in the blood of Christ from head to foot, to surround him with ministering angels and clothe him with the full armor of God, so that no sickness, no evil and no weapon formed against him will prosper.

The Scripture shows us a God who sees affliction and hears cries. Leah named her first son with the hope that a child would earn her husband's love, and called the second hearing because the Lord had heard she was unloved. Rachel called her son Joseph in faith that the Lord would add, and the child born in sorrow was renamed by his father to be the son of his right hand. In the same way the Lord sees your son and your family, He hears your prayers, and He is able to turn sorrow into strength and to add hope where there has been grief. He is the God who met Jacob at Bethel and guided his steps to the right place, and who calls His people to return to Him. His work is restoration, to put back together what the enemy has torn down, to restore sanity, health and family. We see this when the son of the Shunammite woman was restored to life through the ministry of Elisha, and when David sent to bring the lame son of Jonathan out of a forgotten place and restored him to a place of care and honor. We believe God is still the restorer today and we ask Him to restore to your son independent activity, joyful fellowship, and favor in every setting.

We also join you in prayer for your older daughter with love and truth. Scripture teaches that God has made only one provision for forgiveness of sin, through faith in His Son Jesus Christ, and the Spirit bears witness to that truth in our hearts. It teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that living together and sexual union belong within that covenant. To live together outside of marriage is not marriage in God's sight. The story of Dinah reminds us that lying with a man's daughter outside of covenant was called a folly in Israel, a thing which ought not to be done, and the proposal to make marriages lightly was not pleasing to God. When Jehoshaphat joined his family to the house of Ahab and Jezebel through marriage, that ungodly alliance brought havoc upon both kingdoms, and Jehu rightly asked what peace can there be so long as whoredom and witchcraft continue. There cannot be true peace in a home or a relationship while what God calls sin is embraced. For that reason we do not ask God to bless the cohabiting relationship, but we pray for your daughter's eyes to be opened to see the spiritual attack, the jealousy, control, division and disrespect that has come with it, and the counsel that encourages her to dishonor her family and neglect her faith. We pray the Lord will soften her heart, restore the grateful, kind and respectful spirit she once showed, help her to value the supportive family God has given her, and give her courage to turn from a toxic and controlling situation and to seek freedom in Christ. We pray she will listen no longer to isolating and divisive influences, and that God will block manipulation and restore the beautiful bond, fellowship and joyful peace you once shared as a family. We know that following Jesus can sometimes create distance even within a blood family, but those who belong to the family of God find a deeper bond there, and we pray for unity that is built on truth and love.

We pray for you as you seek wisdom about the new service for your son, that the Lord who led Abraham's servant in the right way to find Rebekah for Isaac, and who guided Jacob step by step, will guide you clearly to make the best decision for his good. We thank God for the caregivers who have already been a good fit and who advocate for his needs, and we ask for His special anointing on them and for additional dedicated caregivers, mentors and friends who will serve with wisdom, patience, compassion and understanding.

We continue to trust the Lord with you for miracles, healing, protection, favor and breakthrough, not as fleeting setbacks and recoveries, but as steady restoration. May the Lord fill your home with His love, joy and contentment, and may all praise and glory be given to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
