Silas
Beloved of All
It is deeply encouraging to hear of the calm nights and peaceful days your son has been experiencing. When we see improvement, even step by step, we are witnessing the Lord’s healing hand at work. I am reminded that Scripture records a man whom Jesus touched and whose sight returned only gradually; at first he saw people like trees walking, and then with another touch he saw clearly. That tells us healing can unfold in stages, and every stage is divine. Whether the process is swift or slow, whether it comes through a sudden miracle or through the body’s God-given restorative processes, it is still His doing. So receive these daily improvements as gifts from Him, and do not let the small setbacks steal your peace. They are not evidence that God has abandoned the work or that someone’s faith is insufficient. The apostle Paul himself learned that a physical thorn remained despite his prayers, yet the Lord’s grace proved sufficient. We do not always know why healing takes the path it does, but we trust the One who is both mighty and merciful.
Your longing for your daughter is right and heavy. She is entangled in a relationship that Scripture warns against, living as if married while standing outside the covenant of marriage. That kind of arrangement opens the door to spiritual confusion and isolation, making it hard to see the division and chaos it brings. Pray steadfastly for her, asking the Lord to remove the blindness from her eyes and to restore her affection for the family He gave her. Our God is in the business of restoration; just as He promised to bring renewal to His people after a season of devastation, He can redeem broken bonds and turn her heart away from what is harming her. Keep bringing her before His throne, and do not lose hope.
I stand with you in asking for your son’s full healing, protection from spiritual attacks, and the provision of godly caregivers. Jesus still bears our infirmities, and His power has not diminished. May the Holy Spirit fill your home with peace that surpasses understanding, and may every area of your son’s life reflect the joy and wholeness that comes from Him. Rest in the truth that the Lord sees all, and He is working, even now, to bring beauty and order out of the struggle. Continue to praise Him for every breakthrough, and trust that He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it.
