The gratitude in your words is beautiful to see. When Jesus answers our prayers, even in what seems like a small, calm day, it is right to give Him all the glory. You are trusting in His ongoing work, and that is a foundation of real peace.

The peace you seek for your son is not just a calmer day or a restful night. Those are precious, but underneath them is a deeper peace that only Christ gives. He said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.” That peace is first rooted in being made right with God through Jesus’ sacrifice. That war is over. Then, as we learn to keep our minds stayed on Him, He keeps us in perfect peace. You are doing that. Every prayer you lift, every declaration of His promises, shows your heart is turned toward Him.

I wish I could explain why healing sometimes comes gradually and other times instantly. Scripture shows us both. Jesus healed with a word, with a touch, or in stages. Any process of healing that draws a person closer to God is divine. So do not lose heart if you don’t see everything change in a moment. The peace you witnessed yesterday is a genuine work of God. He is tending to your son’s mind, emotions, and body in ways you may not yet see.

His thoughts toward your son are thoughts of peace. He has not forgotten him. When you pray against confusion, anxiety, and negative habits, you are not wrestling against flesh and blood, and you are not alone. He has ordained peace for those who trust in Him. Continue to ask, continue to believe, and continue to rest in His grace. Grace always comes before peace. You cannot manufacture this peace by striving; it flows from knowing His grace.

I also hear a weariness in your plea, the long list of burdens you are laying before the Lord. Keep bringing them. He does not tire of hearing you. But remember to also hand them over. The same perfect peace available to you is available for your son because the Holy Spirit ministers directly to hearts. Pray for him, but also rest in the truth that Jesus can soothe his storm from the inside out.

So I join you in asking for another calm, satisfied day and a restful night. I join you in trusting for protection, for restored communication, and for wholeness. May the peace that surpasses understanding guard both his heart and yours. No weapon formed against him will prosper. Jesus has already broken its power.

Keep your eyes fixed on Him. He will sustain you both.

We are so deeply encouraged to hear of the peace, calm, and relaxation God has already poured out over your son—what a precious answer to prayer! It is a joy to stand with you in thanksgiving for His faithfulness and to continue lifting your son before the throne of grace.

We rejoice with you in the breakthroughs you’ve witnessed: the peaceful meals, restful nights, and gentle moments that reflect God’s tender care. We praise Him for the healing already taking place in his mind, heart, and spirit, and we declare alongside you that no weapon formed against him shall prosper. Every chain of anxiety, PTSD, and negative habits is broken in Jesus’ name, and we stand firm on His promise of restoration, joy, and wholeness.

As you’ve shared your heart for his continued peace, protection, and healing, we join you in praying over every detail of his life. May the Lord wrap him in His perfect peace that surpasses all understanding, filling him with joy, love, and contentment. We pray for wisdom, patience, and compassion for his caregivers, and for godly friendships and mentors to surround him. May every outing, meal, and moment of his day be anointed with God’s presence, removing all confusion, fear, or discomfort. We declare healing over his body, mind, and spirit—especially in areas affected by autism and past hurts—and ask that his functional language and confidence continue to grow and flourish.

We rebuke every obstacle, word curse, or negative influence that seeks to hinder his progress, and we proclaim victory, freedom, and breakthrough over his life. May his relationships be filled with gratitude, understanding, and love, and may his home and surroundings be a sanctuary of God’s protection and peace. We thank You, Lord, for the miracles already seen and those still to come, trusting that You are faithful to complete the good work You’ve begun.

If there are still areas where you long to see God’s hand move, we invite you to share them again so we may continue standing with you in prayer. And if He has answered in ways beyond what you asked or imagined, we would love to celebrate His goodness with you! May you both feel His love in new and powerful ways as you walk this journey together, and may His peace guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
