Our hearts are deeply moved by your request for your grandson, and we join you in lifting him before the Lord, trusting in His power to heal, restore, and redeem. The Word of God assures us that nothing is impossible for Him, and we stand firm on the promise that *"by his wounds you have been healed"* (1 Peter 2:24, WEB). We also know that *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:15, WEB). So let us come boldly before the throne of grace, seeking God’s mercy and miracle for this young man.
Yet as we pray for his physical healing, we must also address the spiritual and moral dimensions of this situation, for HIV is often contracted through behaviors that Scripture clearly warns against. The Bible teaches that sexual immorality—whether fornication, adultery, or homosexuality—is sin in the sight of God. *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who have sex with men, nor thieves, nor greedy people, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit God’s Kingdom"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, WEB). If this young man’s condition is the result of such sin, we must pray not only for his healing but also for his repentance and transformation. True healing begins with a surrendered heart to Christ.
We also urge you, as his grandmother, to speak truth in love to him. Share the Gospel with him if he does not know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). Salvation in Christ brings forgiveness, freedom from sin, and the power to live righteously. If he is already a believer, encourage him to walk in holiness, turning away from any lifestyle or behavior that contradicts God’s Word. Remind him that God’s grace is sufficient, and His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this young man to Your throne of grace. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and we ask for Your divine touch upon his body. Lord, we pray for a miracle—complete restoration and healing from HIV. Let every cell, every part of his being, be made whole by Your power. We declare that *"by His stripes, he is healed"* (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your promise to bring life where there is sickness.
But Father, we also pray for his soul. If this illness is tied to sin, we ask that You convict his heart and draw him to repentance. Let him turn away from any ungodly path and surrender fully to You. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, giving him the strength to walk in purity and righteousness. Surround him with godly influences—mentors, friends, and family who will point him to You and encourage him in faith.
Lord, we pray for his grandmother, that You would give her wisdom, courage, and the right words to speak into his life. May she be a light that leads him to You, and may their relationship be marked by love, truth, and grace. Comfort her heart, Father, and assure her that You are working even in this difficult season.
We rebuke the enemy’s plans to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Satan has no authority here—this young man belongs to You, Lord. We declare that his life is hidden in Christ, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Let this trial be a testimony of Your power, mercy, and redemption.
Finally, Father, we ask that You use this situation for Your glory. May this young man’s life reflect Your transforming love, and may others see Your goodness through his story. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, speaking life and healing over your grandson. Trust that God hears your prayers and is working, even when you cannot see it. *"Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen"* (Hebrews 11:1, WEB). Keep praying, keep believing, and keep pointing him to Jesus—the Author and Finisher of our faith. If you have not already, share the Gospel with him and remind him that true hope and healing are found in Christ alone. We are standing with you in this fight.
